Thank you, sir.
This is how it looks like last night. Haven't got time to work on it again.
Still have to do something else to help my brother with his field work reports.

Hi Monsieur Lemire,
Thank you for the info. I've seen the page before.
He posted the same modelling here too, if I'm not mistaken.
I've tried DELFTship several times. But it gives me 5.35 MB just for half of the hull
I've made up my mind to keep using either Curviloft or Extrusion Tools for it.
Or, just sewing it by hand and soften smooth it later.
Here's what I got so far.

Here's a site with free s/w that might help

Thank you, jpalm32
Thank you, Monsieur.
I'm afraid I'm still way far from proper modelling on ship or boat.
Last night succeed with DELFTship, but still thinking to find a way to model it within SketchUp.
Merci beaucoup, Monsieur.

I guess you've seen some of the inspirational boat work by Axeonalias in the WIP forum? I don't remember any how to guides in his posts, but you can see the progress over time on some great models.
Yes, I've seen them long time ago. I have the thought long before I even know Axeonalias.
But Axeonalias, Silver Shadow, etc. gave me the thought that such modelling is feasible and could be done within SketchUp.
Thank you sketchymick.
Hi Peter,
No, I haven't yet. Thank you very very much
So tired looking even in youtube almost 24 hours for a decent way to do it.
PS: I thought that was just the same kind of tuts we could find on youtube.
I didn't scroll down to see charly2008's replies there. I hope no one else saw this post

charly2008 uses DELFTship there. I also had it here 2-3 days ago. But, haven't install it yet though.
I thought there are other ways to do it natively in SketchUp.
I've tried using Curviloft yesterday. Quite close to what it should look like.
Thought there are other hints on sharpening my way of using either Curviloft or Extrude Tools.

Meanwhile, I'll see what I could do.
Here's the model I've tried to work on.
Hi forum,
Do we have any Tutorial on modelling ship's main structures here somewhere?
Mainly such as keel, hull and ribs, etc?
Thank you.
I see. I used a screen capture application too last night to try it.
Save it as png. Haven't try to use it in a model though.
I thought you could use any of those webpage's buttons. Thank you.

water is a KT material
Sorry if I missed something. You said that you used a texture. Not material though.
I know that there's water material in KT, because I've been using KT too since 2-3 years ago. Even if it's not quite often
I haven't succeed to save the image and make a texture from it.
I've tried right clicking. But it still wont work.
May I know how to do that exactly?
Thank you very much
[Edited] It wont accept my registration.
Nice model and rendering
Do they really use wood planks for that kind of ship in the Royal Navy for the floor?
What texture did you use for the sea surface? From the KT material?
I miss Axeonalias...
What processor do you have in there?
If you have AMD inside, there is AMD Cool'n'Quiet you might like to check out.
This plugin should be awesome. And may become another very good reason to tell my brother to learn SketchUp and not just CAD
I hope all bugs could be fixed and works as it should be.

Got it. Can see the difference between this plugin with TT Selection Toys.
Thank you Sahi, for this one, Axes Comp and Krug. I think this should be one of my "must have" plugin
