thank you.. but the thing i dont understand is all the rendering setttings tr1 2 and options.. its very different from vray the approach and all.. i understand its material system but the rendering options/camera etc etc 😲

Thea 1.3 is amazingly fast, this is an interior, and they are normally slow to render, exteriors render in seconds to a couple of minutes.

This is very great Pete... my problem is that i just dont know how to use thea.. i have downloaded the trial version but its like alien thing for me.. am using vray for sketchup.. but really wanted to try thea.. and tutorials/pdf mini tutorials are missing.. i wish they make a good tutorial for noobs like me that dont understand ABC of rendering 😞

Is it a joke, or there is a reason for making the house this tight?

Japanese house are most of the time this tight.... but one wont feel it tight because of the use of double heights/windows and open spaces across the house... and if you search for more you ll find more tight then this one πŸ˜„

    • How to make this form

Hello all. can any body help me that how can i achieve this shape. i have tried it and made it by extrude edges by lattice and also made the face by extrude edges by face and applied lattice maker.. but it wont help me. i am attaching the two image.. the one i made with EEBL it is like horizontal grid and i want a diagonal grid and the inner shape can be anything square circle, triangle like in EEBL ( circles would be great )...
      following are the attached images..

one is 3d that i made and the other is sketch thats how i wanted the form please help me.

If you can see the shape i made had both diagonal and horizontal lines but i want the diagonal line on both side and not like this.

With the number of segments you've used for the circle at the base of your model, each segment is only about 3/8" long. TIG is correct that you'll need to scale the model up dramatically to avoid the tiny faces.

If you are using 1.6 beta - use the dome light to use an HDRI to light your scene. If you just want the HDRI as your background, go to options and under Environment. place the HDRI in the BG slot.

In your Output under options, make sure to click Get view aspect so Vray will match SU.

that i know.. but the Background is not placed according to the model.. its like my model will be on some wall, on some window or on some top, or hanging in air.

um, silly question, but are you trying to render a line in vray? If you are, you need to give it a face. Vray doesn't render lines, no matter what material you give it.

You could also share your test file and maybe the answer is in there.

lol no i wasn't trying to render a line thats why i was using toon material πŸ˜›
