RE: [Obsolete] BZ__Arc for BezierSpline 1.2
Thanks a lot Fredo cant wait to try it. Youre comment about what it could be used for in practice? This one looks pretty diverse for all users, so I imagine it could used for anything, including modeling your own dentures Personally I would probably use it to create accurate site plans where the site boundaries have curves to them.
For some reason when I downloaded the attachments i couldnt find the two image icons? they were missing. can someone please post them here, thanks Jeff.

RE: Restaurant Fitout
fantastic..I love it..
only minor crit would be the blinds in 3rd pic down look a little distracting.
and I noticed that the side doors have a veneer in which the grain carries on through to the door frame, you may have selected materials and pasted as a group here..now thats picky isnt.Id still give you 99/100. very nice

RE: Neon Sign (Maxwell)
nice one,
why dont you just flag it! excuss the pun.
put two flags hanging down from each of the small trusses support the neon. Flags get good exposure by movement in the wind?
cheers.

Lawson Cypress TG&V Door
Lawson Cypress Door made because I wanted to , and to show Solo what "notty cypress looks like", and well maybe oneday I might just model my own house in sketchup?
This door is the front door to my home, we used Cypress a lot when we built as no treatment is required on the timber, its borer resistant & it has a great smell.
You may wish to reduce the image size of photo used.As a matter of interest who has modelled their own home, maybe you'd like to share?

RE: House With a Glass Roofed Core
And here are another couple of options - they maybe on the expensive side but Kalwal has some options and has insulating factor.
I like the Paino web and glass roof, nice natural lighting. It appears to have operational control to the louvres mounted over a glazing system, with little structurehttp://www.kalwall.com/nanogel.htm

RE: House With a Glass Roofed Core
yes nice concept, I built my home with an open glazed entrance / hall way (approx 9m x 2m) extending to another glazed hallway (getting direct sun) which leads to 3 bedrooms / my office. I have to say that I get VERY HOT in the summer and VERY cold in the winter, as the roof is not a good insulator, so word of warning really - great concept thought, just spend extra time / money to insulation as required. (You could always have a retractable roof)
Mind you its great the rest of the time, and ya get lots good comments.

RE: Real Work
Hi Crazy Eyes,

you can see here http://www.softtech.com/service/training-material/videos-spirit-16.html and scroll down to watch SPIRIT <> Sketchup Interoperability vid.I use import / export all the time. there are trcks to rid of the cross over lines in Spirit when import a skp. file. But the xreferancing is something very cool.

RE: Real Work
Hi Crazy eyes.
I have seen some far out ideas in our Country, this one is right up there too. Id be interested to know how you get on with getting a Resource Consent for this one, and what the owners / neighbours think of the design.
Very nice presentation on the vid. I thought.
PS; Im also from Wellington and use Spirit CAD (and SU7).
Cheers Jeff

RE: Photo Match for Professional Architectural Photomontages
This is where I found them back in 2004 (remember then?)
http://groups.google.com/group/Sketchup-Pro/browse_thread/thread/14168c7bbabd829/bd0617c15f78519dSeems like there are two authors being Michael Young and Ron Kempke (3pt construction). The download of the .skp files is in the link above.

RE: Do we have a Joke Thread goin here?
@unknownuser said:
it was the first day of school. the kindergardeners were saying their names, last was a kid with the name: yu. so the teacher asked what his name was and he said yu this happened 6 times until the teacher said, okay who the hl are you. he said yu. so the teacher said, you uneducated little brat who the ****in Hl are you?!
Sounds a little like a true storey of mine.....
At school (years back) we had a new teacher who was trying to get familiar with names and faces. She was asking for our first names, then our surnames. She thought we were takin the mickey out of her at first. When asking a boy for his first name he told her it was Cooper, then she asked him what his surname was, and he replied Kupa (pronounced the same). She asked him over and over again, until she finally clicked it wasnt spelt the same. Then the next boys name was Wayne Carr.
True storey. I think If I was Wayne I would have changed my name by now.
