I decided to play with SU for doing a few details instead of boring AutoCAD.
I realise the floor detail has the FOV all wrong. I did alter this but cannot find the drawing on my comp at home. I will upload next week.
Unfortunately you will probably not be able to see all the details due to the image size I have posted, I did not want to make them to large for the forum.
Im considering modelling a complete house foundations up to a similar detail,I think it would be good fun.
I think you have shown some good skills and imagination in modelling that building.
If you can tweak a few things and work a little on presenting it then you really will be making big steps.
I agree with Robert on experimenting with linework to get a different or better effect.
I personally like to export 2 images and get my lineweight right in Photoshop.
I expect their will be a lot of sad people if this is not renewed - it is a fantastic tool!

I really like the Windows Live Maps. Much better image than Google Earth.

I watched the whole show on BBC2 earlier this week.
Great project and modelled/presented very well.
I like the 6th image down taken from out to sea. It is unusual having the water in front like that.
Really like the composition on these images, im very immpressed, they look great.
Im certain this is a feature of the mac. They do have some pretty cool extras
I believe they also have fully customizable toolbars.
Nice tutorial Marian, I can see us directing people to this quite a lot!

I know there are some differences between pro and free which I thought were mainly the import/export filetypes.
Are the Location settings not available in free v6?
I have just spoken to somone who said they have gone to Model Info, but therre is no Location on the menu.
I can't check this with because I only have Pro installed.
Can anyone confirm this?

Then doing it this way (finding a plan) will be a good grounding for learning to read plans and should really help you.

I would suggest, especially with you being a Architectural Student, you just draw one yourself.
It really would not take much work at all to draw a small narrow plan which you require.
If you really want a plan then as Gaieus suggested, probably search Google and find one.
Are you wanting this plan as an image file, or are you wanting a dwg?
Yep, this seems a great idea to me and also an interesting SU project.
