Tom you could set another key on your mouse (if you have one spare) to Space which will give you the Select Arrow.

Apple Safari 3 Beta?
Was just wondering if anyone had tried this yet?
Safari has been released for Windows users in beta.
I am a Windows user but really like the look and feel/ease of use of the Mac and so am very tempted to try this software out.So, has anyone given it a go?

RE: Cool Battle Bots!!
They are pretty cool. I love the look of that first one.
He looks like a good SU'r with some interesting models in his collection. -
RE: Dell 5 button mouse
Al I do not have the Dell mouse, but I do have a mouse which I have setup with 8 SU functions.
My mouse has 5 buttons and 2 wheels. The software with the mouse allows you to set it up with any program to fully customize the buttons to whichever function you require.
It is a very nice mouse and so comfortable with a smooth operation.

RE: Just a bit of messing around
Remus, just push the window in and create reveals so the frame is sat further back, it will look much more like a window then and should help with the light/shadow on that wall.

Hi Joe and welcome.
What sort of things are you modelling? Architecture, furniture, cars, or anything that takes your fancy?

RE: SU/Max/Photoshop
Great work Andy.
Are there tutorials around for texturing in PS like that? I would love to try it.

Has anyone found the solution to controlling ling weights?? That is, more than is in the styles tray.??
Thanks, KlogTwo lineweight settings available in LO, depending on what you are doing are as follows:
Shape Style/Lineweight/0.5 - 40
SketchUp Model/Styles/adjust lineweight in bottom right corner.

This is the right path:
C;\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 6\Resources\en-US\selfpacedtutorials
%&^Β£*$Β£* You know when you could just slap yourself!

RE: Open new window option
Yes, lots of times
It is also the same on my work computer.
I am placing the files in C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 6\Tools\HelpContent_en\SelfPacedTutorials

Do you restart SU? (I haven't tried it yet...)
Yes I restart.
The tuts are sat in the same folder as the Introduction skp which show up on the menu.

RE: Tutorials for future use
Is this working for everyone else?
If I drop a skp in the Self Paced Tutorials folder, I cannot see it from the help menu. -
RE: Open new window option
Where you mention placing Tutorials in the Self Paced Tutorial folder, are you then supposed to be able to see these directly from the Help/Self Paced Tutorials/?
I did just try it but I cannot see them directly from the menu.

RE: Country Backyard
Really clean, bright and vibrant Stu. It is looking good.
It is nice to see the ridge tile detail added, so many people leave them out in models, but I really like seeing the extra little details.
What are you planning with the grass, working with it in PS?
The house itself seems a strange mix of styles with the Tudor elements

RE: Searsville revisited (with bugs)
Love this render, it has certainly got some feeling.
I would like to see the wires between the poles just to add something a little extra.
