Can you not get a trial version of Parallels Edson?
I hear it works very well with general software, but with 3d applications im sure it will struggle a little more.

Now she is talented Susan!
They are wonderful. I would like some of those hanging up in my house.

I bet somebody would have insisted you should use a more realistic wood texture.
Now that would have been funny
Will not play on mine either, I do not have the codec. I shall try at home later.
Jim which codec did you choose when saving? I know when I looked at this software over the weekend, there seemed to be quite a lot to choose from when saving the file/video. I was not sure myself which one would be the best.
A nice set of trees!
What do you find is the best way to remove the white background?
I love these ypnos.
A few questions!
In the image straight from Kerk your grass is normal, i.e flat. In the processed images the grass looks fantastic, is this done in PS? I would love to know how to achieve this effect.
In the last image straight from Kerk, is the tree to the right of the house 2d? I like the look of it and wondered where it was from.

Render looks great jacob.
Looking at the guys other work who created the model, I must say I am pretty impressed. He has a very good understanding of using textures in SU.
Ive not tried it with my voice yet, I really hate hearing myself back.
I did try a quick video but it was a pretty large file size. I could do with trying to find a way of reducing this more.
Yep, all looks fantastic and the icons do look pretty sexy!
It was a big surprise for me after not really being around the SU forums for the last few months to see the news about the Google Groups this morning.
Big thanks to Coen for taking this on and carrying on the essence of what was the SU Pro Forums.

Now that I think of it, that might be a fun prank to play on someone. Almost as good as setting their monitor settings 180Β° off.
I saw that for the first time last week. My kids shouted me upstairs because their computer screen had rotated 90 degrees and I had no idea how to get it back.
Good old Google came to the rescue as usual!
I did think though, im gonna have to do this to some people at work, it could be quite funny
How did I miss that thread!
Ok, well if you follow the link Gaieus posted, it says the offer has expired on the webpage.
Ignore it!
Just click on the link to download the program then the link to get your serial. On this page it tells you the offer ends 7th January.
2 days to grab it!
I would suggest leaving the housebuilder ruby alone until you are at least familiar with using groups and components and how they work.
These are two things which are so important in SU.
You can always go back and play with housebuilder ruby at a later date.
Paul that exterior is amazing. Did you have to estimate most of the sizes and measurements to create it?
It really is a top class model, I love it.

Your background, was that placed in KT prior to rendering or is that post process? It really makes the shot. Nice.
The background image was placed in KT. Thanks.
That's useful, I did not realise that could be done.
I like both these renderings also.

Hi,a used a Quick Screen Recorder!
Sometimes used and Camtasia Studio, depend on need, for something quick Quick Screen Recorder.
For beter recording a Camtasia Studio.
Are these available free Pagan?
You have not mentioned your graphics card. Is it onboard graphics or do you have a dedicated GPU?
1gb of ram is fine - 2 is better but 1 will run SU without a problem.
Your processor is not the most powerful and a better one could see some slight improvement.
The thing to remember though, if you are working with 3d trees and plants, even the most powerful of computers will have problems eventually. You need to be smart in the way you do things.
Use layers to control visibility of your trees.
Moving to the Hardware Forum.
