this is how I would do it. . .
the little divot form is just a half sphere that I squished with the scale tool. There are probably elegant ways to do it. use for making dice as well.
if not the dominot (?). . place it on the domino instead.
love the Escher stuff. Years ago. . somebody did Belvedere. It was awesome. I played around with it myself.

It will "randomize" the sections on that scene, unless you know what you're doing, you'll have no control.
thanks for the response. I think i got half of that. But your last sentence kinda summed it up. Is there a Tutorial or something that talks about this? I thought it was much simpler and clearer back in the old days when these were called "Pages". Seemed to work better.
I'm posting my query here because it is probably pretty obvious to you guys out there, but I've always struggled with it. . .
I've always found the "Scenes" menu to be counter-intuitive and I can't seem to get it to do what I think it is telling me to do. Specifically, I want one particular scene to be a section but not others I update via the scenes menu, and ONLY that scene but when I tab thru the others the section plane is still active and I have to switch it off. what am I doing wrong. Likewise for things like various styles, or display modes, etc.
Please help me so I can slap my head and go "DUH!"
Thanks,
David H
ps My last query got absolutely no response whatsoever. Still looking for some insight on that as well.
Thx,
D
Um .. .that goes without saying. But constantly hitting cntrl+Z would tend to screw up everyone's day.
I do often wonder why life didn't come with the PushPull tool. Things would've been sooooo much easier.
And Inference! don't forget that!
I have a great mid-century Modern project going on in LA myself, so I appreciate this cool retro-modren kind of aesthetic. NOTE" Be prepared to have your Landscape Architect show more xeriscape than lawn, and maybe that swimming pool ends up being a really really big water-wise desert terrarium. .. but other than that-- Looks great.
I would tone down the green a tad for your low-E glass.
Attention Oh SketchUp gurus, wizards and shamans. . .
I have 2 requests for plugin help.
A) I have an old Rick Wilson Smustard plugin PageExIm which doesnt seem to work on SU 2015 and Smustard hasn't updated it. At least. . I coulnd't see it. IT allows for transferreing 'pages" --now scenes -- from one SU model to another. Anything like that available that'll work on 15
B) I have been asking this for years and it hasn't gotten any traction, but maybe somebody has been working on it. I would like to be able to control visibility of nested components/ groups so that you can hide rest of model but still have visible the component in the next step down the tree. For instance. . .if I have a component that has a nested component buried 5 deep into a nest 4 in nest 3 etc etc. I can work on nested 5, while only seeing 4 or 3 without having to have the whole model either vis or invis? I think this would be not only just a boon to myself, but to all skecthup users and maybe even to all of mankind. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance.

thanks. . .didn't mean to hi-jack the thread. I just hadn't used UV tools for a while. Queen of Hearts does look like she is retaining a bit of water though.
Used the Old UV tools. Works pretty good . . .but I didn't get an Ace of Clubs for some reason.
That is pretty terrific. Near Perfection. You lose a few points cuz the Soy Sauce isn't gluten free.
This cute little vid stars a good friend of our family. . .and Mr. Potato Head!
Sad. In the year 2019, it's clear that with the ceilings will be so low and soffits jutting out that I'll be banging my head all the time.
not to mention constant anxiety attacks from claustrophobia
and yet. . .in the hands of the master. .. what beautiful drawings would come
Speaking of Heater Elements.. . these pens had humidifiers to keep them in. And all of this cleansing solution to wash them out. the 000 Nib was about as useful as drawing with a nail. and so darn expensive!!
Ahhh. . .takes me back. One can look back with nostalgia--but really .. .I'm glad they're ancient history. They really were terrible but awesome at the same time.
BTW ...anybody remember using one of these? And having it glop all over the mylar . . .or worse . .the rag linen? I'm really dating myself aren't I?
Boy. . .those take me back. I have a set of those myself. Loved drawing with them. . .when I could get them to draw. THey are cantankerous. same with the Koohinors and the like.
