      Just ideas.

The video presentations are always very good. I also like to Try a program for me to get a personal impression.

I wanted to download the trial version but what I received (see below) I do not like so much.

    • RE: Why Sketchup?

      Hi,

Why Sketchup. Because SketchUp is very easy to learn. If one has understood the use of standard tools there are very quick steps to the first success. I had found six years ago a video tutorial which consisted of twelve lessons. In these lessons, the use of standard tools were shown. I tried all the techniques shown in parallel with "Sketchup". Within four weeks I was able to take the first small projects undertaken. Of course, I've made many mistakes. Then I Found the SketchUcation forum, and learned much among others the various plugins to know. The rest was practice and practice again and again.

And that's what makes Sketchup. You can learn the use of the standard tools very quickly and you can have great success with. The whole construction techniques are easier to accomplish in Sketchup, as this is the case in many other programs.

Other 3D programs also have their place, because Sketchup is not the "non plus ultra" in the 3D programs. Sketchup has its limitations e.g. in the design of organic shapes. Before a decision is always the question, for what purpose I want to use a special 3D program.

      Hi,

If there is a Creator who created this universe, then it was probably an experiment. The Creator now observed how the experiment evolved. Perhaps he sees the universe with a scientific view. By chance, he has discovered countless planets on which performed very small organisms. After a few million years, he looks again through his microscope and sees these organisms have proliferated on some planets. On other planets, the organisms are dead again or the planets disappeared. Now he's trying to figure out what is the cause. That will still take a another few billion years. The Creator has indeed not a time problem. 😉

      Hi Dex,

cutting windows and doors directly into walls is really amazing! I do not want to seem impertinent. But would it be possible to make this tool as a separate plugin available? That would be very helpful to the amateur users who does not require the BIM functions.

      Hi,

I've recently experimented a bit to produce a Wisteria. Unfortunately I was not so successful. Then I have reinstalled the "0.63 beta". The result is now that no Ivy texture appears and Wisteria leaves also still appears. What is wrong?
