Hi,
I became aware of it now. When a group or one component is selected in Sketchup 8, the entire contents are also displayed in blue color.

Hi,Charly2008.
That problem is not solved yet.
I will improve it,when I find the solution in future.
Thanks.
thank you very much for your answer

Hello tak2hata,
Your tool is impressive. I've done some experiments with it. It works really well. One question I have is it possible a component that contains some single solids to cut completely into the wall.

Hi Ninos,
you should identify your Graphic Chip , See picture below.
On the Intel side you can select the type and find out the OpenGL capabilities and settings.

Sounds to me that your plugins folder is in dire need of some cleaning up.
I've stopped copying my plugins folder around when I format my computer. Instead I just start to add plugins again - that way I make sure I only have the plugins I use.
I think this is the only option. I had problems for several days and "BugSplat" with "SKP 7" and "SKP 8". After I disabled the plugins folder in each case, both versions ran flawlessly.
I decided to reinstall both programs. I have the same plugins as before. These I had already reduced to the actually needed "plugins". My plugins folder contains currently 42 plugins folders and 137 plugins. The size of the plugin folder is now 27.1 MB. I think with any additional plugin increases the risk that in the system at some point gets something out of control.
At 137 plugins, I also have a relatively good overview of the capabilities of the plugins. With a larger number, this is always difficult, especially when they are little or hardly used.

Hi Jon,
The technique for a curved spiral is "Follow Me Helix" and "Shape bender". The better is the combination "DrawHelix" and "Shape bender". there is a better control about the helix.

Hi Sam,
Your "Bevel Maker" works well. But for many geometries I get a "BugSplat".

Hi hellnbak,
I used DrawHelix14 and follow Me and keep.

Hi,
I installed SKP 8 M2 about four weeks ago. Sketchup worked perfect as before. Yesterday I've installed the latest Nvidia drivers for my GTS 250. Today I wanted to start SKP but every time I received a BugSplat. At first I thought the graphics driver was the cause. Then I renamed the plugins folder and SKP started normally.
I created a new plugin folder and copied only the plugins that I really use . Now my SKP runs perfect again and I have again a slim plugins folder.
I do not know exactly what caused the error. But after what I've described above, it must be related to the plugins I suppose.

This is not meant that way, just a little bit ironic.

Hi,
Whether there is a God or not. The fact is that we humans are responsible for the states on earth. The people starve or die in wars, that is our so-called free will. These people do not die by the will of God but by us.
How much terrorism and other atrocities have been executed in the name of God. We salve our consciences so that, we say this is God's will. We then push the responsibility to do our best, to a different instance because we can not at all act differently because God is omnipotent.
If a god created the universe then he also knows how it works and how it will change. He also knows that the energy of our sun in five billion years will be consumed. The earth will become uninhabitable, and mankind will disappear forever. Why should he make the effort to punish us before.

Best wishes for Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year to All.
