It's been always this way ever since I can remember.

Are your faces not too small? (SU has issues with generating very tiny faces). Try to scale everything up by 10 (or even 100), run the plugin and then scale back.

Add 'Component Tray' Contain: thumbnails, Schedule Labels alphabetically, drag and drop multiples to paper space.

I think these will help indexing, scheduling, and drawing referencing a lot.

That is odd. Try opening SU first by double clicking the SU icon. Then from within SU, open up your saved model. See if that helps. If so, it might have to do with special observers the plugins try to load, and if they are failing on loading a saved model, this might be a bug that should be reported.

I'm moving this thread to the Developer Section.

I have a script called scale2face.rb that stretches selected components/groups up to touch selected faces above them - used for elongating columns etc up to the underside of sloping roofs etc etc...
Here's a reworked version 'scaledown2face.rb' that scales them downwards...

Usage: Select face(s) & group/component-instance(s) located ABOVE face(s).
Unacceptable selections produce error dialogs
Pick 'ScaleDown2Face' off the Plugins Menu
or type scaledown2face in the Ruby Console.
The selected items will be scaled downwards [in the Z] until their CLs meet the face or faces.
Any intermediate faces etc are ignored; the scaling passes through them.
It has a one step undo.

Al from from Render Plus has been working on something called NprTools, buts there's still has some development to do, and it has not been released yet. The sketchy materials would be great for hatches etc, and I do like the look of the sketchy shadows

In case you are not aware, there is a Glue feature in SU.

If a selection is giving me problems while trying to move it, I'll right click on it to see if "UNGLUE" is available in the context menu. If so, then I'll do an Unglue.

Moving or drawing geometry across large distances can be tedious. A method I often forget to practice, but which is very helpful, is to zoom into the "target point", then Zoom to Extents, then zoom to your "start" point, select your geometry or intiate a drawing tool, then utilize the "Zoom Next" and "Zoom Previous" functions available in the Camera Toolbar.
