I suggest you go to the main plugin thread (search if need be) and post there where the author and other users are more likely to see your post and you might find your question already answered.

    • RE: Problem with "instant road"

      Marco,

Just an initial suggestion: Make it easier on the reader: Post a pic as well as an skp, rather than a rar file, so we can see your problem without opening anything other than this thread, but we can open your model with one click if we want to.

What specifically is your problem and error?

As I recall 'instant road' is limited to a 6' width or something like that, but yes I would be sure it worked at that width before upgrading. You might post direct to author Chuck Vali, who is quite responsive, I think, and is listed in the plugin directory.

Jeff (or anyone), what is the Windows equivalent of what your pic shows; is that a preferences screen? Sorry if it is; I'll check it.

So far you got a tough sell.

You use the [url] tag, more specifically, you do this: [url=www.google.ie]google ireland[/url].

      google ireland

      Then why not make it:

instead of or in addition to:
      [url][/url]

Here's some examples of a project where a glass roof is planned over an existing street.
With PB it was so easy just to draw up the paths and apply and replace the profiles very quickly. I'm about to change it again.

Looks like a nice solution, pretty elegant, down to the downspouts/columns. Anything further to share on this one?

That sounds really nice, but is fairly typical isn't it, as a goal and a practice? Consistent geometry, prefab. ... He's kind of over-blowing it a bit, but certainly a good sell and a wonderful image.

      Nice link and read. Thanks.

    • RE: SEARCHING this site effectively

So, go outside of this site to search this site.

From outside, your method worked fairly well, but still only returned two threads, in addition to this one. From inside, better results.

I don't think you're a smart ass for answering my question, that would be presumptuous on my part, unless you're admitting to same in a back-handed way... The 'operators' were the 'modifiers' I was explicitly looking for. I thought I had tried them but I had not; only single quotes, which were ignored.

      Thank you.

    • SEARCHING this site effectively

I'm quite sure this is an old and tired subject and maybe one of the young-at-heart vet users can give me/us some tips on something obvious to help out in SEARCHING this site effectively.

I want info on 'plugin managers', I get results on 'plugins' and on 'managers'. I haven't been able to guess or discover the proper modifiers to use.

Any other tips? How about a sticky on effective site searching? Utterly unnecessary?

Thanks for this. You can listen to multiple tracks at once from the browser and record them as you listen, rather than downloading single tracks, if you use a 'playing now' recorder, something like HarddiskOgg.

Wonderful tool, Diggsey. Many thanks. Nice that folks are sharing their settings. I wish someone with the appropriate skills or not would chart up some many examples, something like the pic below, and/or list many equations to experiment with. I do not have those skills. I had modeled something like the intersecting sine waves not long ago manually... tch, tch.

tak2hata, Thanks very much for this promising set of tools. I hope you find the time to make the videos larger and maybe more complete.

I tried copying and slightly altering the wall to have a baseboard on both sides but this seems to 'break' the proper corner corrections you have made the program perform. I see all your multi-walls are one sided; do they have to be? Could the standard application methods be adapted to trimming around window or door openings?

    • Sports live in browser - lacrosse

We have no TV to speak of and I'm not a streaming sophisticate, but I like watching lacrosse. Knowing some college finals were on tap today I did a search for espn2 and found their link as well as those of some poseurs. Their viewer is the best, not large but can be reduced to the active image area of the browser (no other info or ads, etc.); fits nicely in a 2 monitor SU setup. Oddly, no complaints, as one couldn't expect a huge viewer.

EDIT: ESPN3 is what it is actually, I guess. You can go full screen (no HD), or you can go for 4 separate events at once.
