Are you looking for something like this?

Almost, except the script should create a toolbar button to launch the file.

Almost, except the script should create a toolbar button to launch the file.
I have a request for a plugin that ads a menu button, and that after you click that button it would open a specific file.
It does not have to be a fancy Plugin.
I could modify my own button icon, and change the filepath in the ruby script to the file i need to open.
(maybe it allready exists ,but i just could not find it)
Greetings,

For some years ago there was DoubleCad that was free to use but it seems that it is no longer available.
Its still there.
https://www.turbocad.com/content/doublecad-xt-v5
Open the dxf file in a cad program.
Explode all elements to get rid of the fill-in, so only the outline lines of the elements remain.
Now save again as dxf.
Import the dxf in sketchup.
Use the plugin "make faces" to fill-in the elements with faces.
Rescale if necessary.

I bought a 2016 Sketchup Pro license and was pleased that I could get Sketchup 2016 to run under wine in Ubuntu Linux!
However, the Sketchup "Add License" button doesn't work! Nothing happens when you press it.
The temporary license has run out, so I can't use it until this licensing problem is sorted out.
I have exactly the same problem with SU pro 2015 and Su pro 2016.
There are however no problems with installing my Su pro 2014 version.
I am running these version with play on linux on my ubuntu machine.
If somebody of the Sketchup team is reading this, please consider at least working together with the wine developers to make a working version for linux for the next release.

Hallo David,
I am running Sketchup via Wine on Ubuntu, every new wine version makes it run better.
For me few glitches and hick-ups are workable.
I am not using any of the fancy ruby plugins on this computer.
Eventually most software will become cloud based, and therefor OS independent

I did a mistake -: there should be "I didnť play" a 'l' is missing, of course
As far as I can read this, someone else did pay for his pro-version.
You must consider Englisch is probably not his native Language. (As it isn't mine)

Maybe http://solvespace.com/download.pl can be of any help to construct this.
the first step could be ,do a google picture search for "logo"
Upload your design ,and let google do search for a simular picture.
Bep
No its not a bug.
If you do a rectangle selection from top-left to bottom-richt only the completely selected lines wil be included in the selection.
Try selecting from right to left and also the partly selected lines wil be included in the selection.
