well, its essential.
Disto S910 is limited to save max 30 Points in a dxf File.
Once you collected 30 Points Disto starts a new file and you have all the fun in registering the different dxf files after importing them in SU.
On top of it you have to Keep exact track off what your doing - otherwise your completely lost when you get home and you have to organize this mess
I tryed - its hopeless - especially if you want to produce an exact drawing of a complex Building or Floorplan.
The way to go is to bring your Laptop to the site and continuously measure /draw and correct until your done
What the AutoCAD-plugin does is that it starts the command "draw " an keeps on drawing as long as it receives data from Disto
And thats what I would like do to using SU

Leica geosystems offers a 3D Laser "Leica Disto S910 "
It comes with a free Software "DIST transfer 5.0" and a plugin to import the measurements directly into AutoCAD. That way you can draw what ever you measure direct on site.

I would be great to have a plugin that would do the Job in SU.
The Guys at Leica told me, that they would agree on connecting to their sofware.
Any Body any Idea how to write such a tool?

after installing "StairMaker" the plugin shows up under "plugins"
The Dialog box asks for "normal, spiral....." etc
That was it, nothing else happens.

My biggest SU - wishes are still :
[b]1. Speed

[b]2. true geometry of circles and curves
I understood - I am inside a box-program but I do not see the point not to progress.
It would make life so much easier to work with true circles/continues curves and to produce geometrical correct intersections.

2. STL-file export
   After spending countless hours on a flawless SU 8-model, I learned from several 3d printing-shops, that the model could not be printed.
   Apparently SU 8 produces a countless errors at the intersection of curved Volumes.
   If The future really is 3d printing, its absolutely necessary to improve on curve-geometry and file-export .

thanks for your recommendation to contact SU support.
They analyzed my Bugsplat Report and suggested to update my graphics Card Driver (NVIDIA Quadro 2000d). After Updated to Version 9.18.13.3250 the Problem is solved.

thanks for looking into the matter,

What I did so far to solve the problem:

1. Uninstalling all plugins
2. Changing SketchUp.exe to 'Run this program as an administrator'
3. Sending the automatically issued Bug-Report
   As you recommended, I also send a notice to SU technical support.

Since I have the German Version of WIN 8.1, I am not sure, what "'Users' Control Panel..." translates to. I checked the existing Users on my PC. There are only two accounts:
1 me (with admin rights)
2 guest (which I don't use)

So far no success in solving the problem.

I am curious, what SU Support suggests.
I let you know - hope they drop me a line.

thanks for your suggestion.
I disabled all Plugins (SkechUcation-Plugins-Manager)
Same result, Bugsplat after closing SU(I added a sreenshot of the Bugsplat Report).
Any idea what else causes the Problem ?

Hello Every Body,
when ever I want to close a SU 2013, I've got a Bugsplat Report.
First I thought, that SU 2013 and Win 8.1 simply wont like each other. Now Ive got the same problem with all around updated SU 2014.
Anybody any idea, what causes the Problem ?

Hello there,
I just installed SU 2014,
After downloading Matts Toggle_Units.rb using the sketchucation download-Manager I get the following Error message:

Hello there,

i bought profilbuilder 1.0. long time ago. Until SU Version 8.0 everything went well. With SU 8.0 i cant create new librarys. Whenever I try to I get the following error message:"unable to add Profile to favourites" Whats wrong here? Perhaps I`ve got an old Version here - if so, is there a download of a newer Version for those of us that bought the "pro version"

Hello there,
lately I am running into serious SU problems .
When ever I try to start a new Drawing, I get an NVIDIA Error code 6 concerning my Open GL Driver, suggesting to update the Driver.
I updated several times - but it doesnt make any difference. Any suggestions whats wrong here?

Hello Tig,
thanks for this great plugin. Its a tremendous advantage to glue the section plane. I noticed so, that its not possible to change colors or textures once they are applied. That´s to bad, since I usually differentiate my sections. Is there a workaround ?

Hello every Body,
I downloaded "parametric_grid.rb" and "parametric.rb" from sketchucation Plugin Store
When starting SU I get the following Error :

Fehler beim Laden der Datei parametric_grid.rb
no such file to load -- ./parametric.rb

So far I cant get the script to work. Anybody any idea whats going on here?

Hello Tig,
thanks for looking into it.
Just the SU Material file "colors" contains 310 Colors.
Each Color has to be selected and applied to some surface in order to get the color into the model.
It`s the tedious manual work that discouraged to make a color guide.
Is there perhaps a another way of mass-loading materials into a model ?
