TIG's 2D tools would be my recommendation to try out. Just did a check on where things stand with Rhino and VisualARQ for OSX. I do agree to! As a workaround, I showed how to make som scenes with different views and also one with top view with paralle projection.

I personally think it would be great to try and emulate the interface that Lux has with blender (and yes I know that this has nothing to do with the actual exporter code). It is not quite a simple as skindigo, but I think its functions are more clearly laid out. If something as good as this could be implemented in sketchup (and as nice looking) it would be a first.

artlantis is a very good app, very easy to learn and use. its problem is, like others, its price tag.

Ark, If you are "trimming" grass components, you will probably end up with some unbearable edge/face count in your model. As grass is (most of the time) not shown from very close, it may be wise to use png images with alpha transparency like in this grass component. Note however that this can also be a bit heavy to use all over the place so you might want to put it onto a separate layer and only turn its visibility on when exporting images.
