Just replied to this in another thread - might be helpful. It's under the SketchUp section search for 'dotted lines'. Kyle

@unknownuser said: +1 on the revision cloud. It would be great to have customization. Possibly a tool that links arcs along a path, then when closed options for the revision tag, placement and number. The scrapbook method does not work well for really defined revisions that need to be clouded around notes, objects etc. Totally agree.

Can you explain how you think that's backwards? Once you know about layers, it seems right to me that the topmost layer takes precedence, and then items within each layer determine the drawing order. How would you do it? Thanks for any feedback. b

Thats a good question. I do not think there is a limit, but perhaps there is? It can be very time consuming to troubleshoot DC's built by someone else I've been discovering

Glad you got it worked out, and thanks for sharing the solution here. Sorry no one was able to dig in and help find it, but glad you got it in the end! Chris

wow, thats a tricky one. you need 'raw' (ungrouped) geometry directly within the 'cutting' component, because this is needed for the component to actually know, where to cut. but as you point out, this will scale normally, whereas the frame parts will keep their width... haven't got any ideas of how to do it. but would be very interested, if there is a solution...

Dear Amo, You can use Outliner to view long group/component names by stretching the box. If you have Outliner and Entity Info both open at the same time then you can easily select and rename groups and components. Regards, Bob

Yes, that's definitely a solution however not very "economic" with component instances.

Not quite what Amo was envisaging, but it's a step closer. Enjoy. http://www.ted.com/talks/view/id/245
