How can I divide this model using SubD?
Can anybody show me the steps how to do it?

If you want to use SubD then the key is to work with Quads. As mentioned, curviloft will create a complex mesh. You can unsmooth that mesh with Quadface Tools. Both cylinders were created with Curviloft. The right one I used unsmooth option in quadface tools. I used Vertex Tools to pull out the spout.

When modeling organic forms, your enemy has a large number of polygons. Then it's easy to lose control of the simulation. I tried to show something how I do it. Not completely perfect because I was in a hurry, a little wrong topology. Basic tools: Move, Scale, VertexTool, SubD. By the way, the photo is from a bad angle.

People are scared of quads and SUbD when in it's basic form it is just a matter of moving a few edges around.
I'm not suggesting this is anywhere near a complete shape, but it gives you an idea of what is possible with very little.

Profound in its simplicity Box. 😲 Love the Section option to remove inside faces.

Here's my entry. As Alvin said, photo reference is bad.
I just quickly eyballed this, focusing mainly on the proper topology.
I believe the shape can be perfected a bit, but the topology itself should be basically something like this.
(I did it solid just for the sake of fun) πŸ˜„

This is the base mesh, if you want to play with.

Thank you man, I really appreciate it from you.
You were one of them I really looked at as "teacher" in the past years, when I was at the beginning.
Your clever modeling has always been a source of inspiration for me.

I believe in this case, you did it right with the vertex count (8 is the way here), but you had to rotate everything 45Β° and then the topology naturally follow along.
I did the exact same mistake on first try, then realized I had to rotate stuff and having the base octagon facing flat forward.

Played with it another bit in the afternoon.
I think it has decent overall shape and improved topology in the top handle.
Also fixed bad naming and pivot orientation, scaled it properly and saved it in skp 2017 version.
Attached here the improved model. πŸ‘

How is the perfectly round faucet mouth done? It looks like you both added a circle to the mesh.

Yes, you can basically add some 8-sided circle and then loft/bridge with existing topology.
You should also try to use way less segments for the top rounded part and avoid those nasty star poles (those vertices where 6 edges are connected).

Thanks for providing your model. It took me a long time to figure out even with your model loaded to pull the spout from the stem. I learned a lot here.

WoW! Some really great results here! Unfortunately I could not get a reference photo straight on from sideview but it seems you got great results from "eyeballing".
I learned alot from this and will use your tutorials to improve Sub divide modelling.
Thank you all for your effort ; )
