hi frederik the 2cm grid might not be in proper scale but the rest of the model is... the ball inside is roughly 4cm in diameter and the outer ball is 6 .. as far as i can remember... Try fitting a squaremeter tiles on it an you pretty much get stuck. It's up to the user how he scales the texture on it -in realscale you won't see much of a floor. On the other hand this would suit more detailed textures...

@johnsenior1973 said: There's a model for sale on turbosquid for $200. http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/247255 There's also one on http://www.formfonts.com/viewModel.php?view=1&id=6037&config=1 Formfonts is subscription based and costs $200 per year. Wow! These two models are great... But too expensive for me. Thanks anyway.

@solo said: Adam You got me thinking, I can make these vegetation .png's as top view or normal face-me view, if I group the two components as say.... Boxwood hedge_FM and Boxwood hedge_TV (FM=face me and TV=top view)in a folder per species then your method of puting the TV (top views) on a seperate layer would work well as the top view image will be the actual plant that the front view is. I will play around with this next week when I return from New England. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Please keep us informed.

FF is the only serious choice, of course. There's some rendered examples of FF content here and here. There is another free resource at http://www.archibase.net/ but the quality is very variable and the ads are intensely annoying. It's mainly gdl stuff but they do tend to have 3ds versions. OK if you're not worried about poly count or reversed faces.
