I won't be using it myself...at least not until they have completely cleared up the privacy issues (which they now seem to have made a start on) and added certain basics like a Bookmarks manager and RSS feed capability. I'm sure these will come; this is just an early Beta. I'm still a little concerned about Google's attitude to private data. For instance, caching your entire browsing history going back years. I'm not talking about the Windows cache, or the Firefox/IE cache wich can easily be wiped; I'm talking about this....every search you've ever made; every page you've ever visited. I think Chrome is more than just another browser. This is Google's first stab at an online OS. I'm sure over the next few years we are going to see all manner of applications, from an online Office suite (Google Docs) to maybe even SU itself running in Chrome. This is aimed right between Microsoft's eyes.

I'm, sure there are those in Kansas - and other states - who wish they could pass such a law, no joking. I believe Kansas is one of the states that has tried to mandate teaching creationism.

Fully interactive geometry, awesome fluid dinamics, rendered with a built-in feature called REALitY. You should try it some time, you'll love it! I'm glad that isn't my house getting battered and all foamed up!

I didn't know elven architects were still around a hundred years ago i thought they vanished at the same time as the orcs, ogers, dwarf, leprechauns and things like that....maybe the hungarians kept one prisoner just in case they needed an impressive building....do you think they'd lend me one..... Now seriously that reminds of so many films and games with mithological beings. And to be a bit on topic...that guy has serios talent. Cheers..i'm gonna go look fo the pot of gold now.

Well, they are talking about archaeological reconstructions here. A reconstructionof a ruinous building however is not only about reconstructing what you have now but what you could have hundreds or thousands of years ago - and you cannot photograph that. I could however find an exciting idea here to create bump (and/or) displacement maps for renderings. This is all - after all - about the surfaces, not the buildings themselves.

@chris fullmer said: Thats very encouraging Tinane. I can get in at the $35 student price, so I think I might join and see how it goes. I'm no architectural renderer at this point in my life, but it is something I aspire to be able to do. You're work has always been great inspiration too Tinane. My parents live in Ivins Utah which is right near Kayenta where I saw did some rendereings. My parents are very good friends with the Ence's so I was happy to sort of know the person who had done such nice renderings for them and that region. Very nice indeed! Chris Fullmer Chris, sorry I missed this. Thank you for the compliments! They are very much appreciated. I hope you join and I will look for your work at the next AIP!!!

I thought it was a bit odd, but they did the same thing the first time they published me last year, with that Pavilion for Oblivion thing. I received the impression that the authors of other projects were actually interviewed in some cases. But I'm not complaining...just remarking on the "surprise." After all, if the webcounter can be trusted on Friday approximately 50,000 AIA members at least opened an issue graphically headlined by one of my projects. I wasn't looking for any publicity when I started working on this "fantasy," but I'm happy enough for the recognition.

It reminds m of one of those things where you ahve to stop and ask yourself "do people really do this? or are my eyes decieving me?"
