There is a quiet revolution going on with 3D engines for Flash popping out all over the place.
And some of the applications are really interresting:

Would it not be something to have a 360 degree camera animation export in Sketchup?

very possible and very easy to do.. this a script out will create 6 scenes from a viewpoint...these 6 scenes are imported into a free program that arranges them and outputs a Quicktime VR... scroll down to CubicPanOut.rb... it lists the programs to compose it, as well... http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/Ruby/en_cam_page.htm

        here's an example.. http://www.revi21on.com/downloads/ComicConVR.mov

          That's a cool 360 degree trip, really!

Jason; CubicPanoOut is a great plugin however it only creates 6 scenes with the respective images of a cube which can then be put together into a 360 degree mov file that is unfortunately only a still "image" however interactive it is. So there's no camera animation (yet?).

It would be cool though to create this kind of "animation" in flash!

Jason, the quicktime movie doesn't play on my PC. (I did allow scripting when browsing to the page).

                  • quicktime movie? I think it runs on the Flash player. Do you have it installed?

Yes I have the Adobe Flash player in Firefox ,but i am pretty sure it is a quicktime movie.
                    Can't download it either.

Kwisten, I use Firefox too. When I right click on the media it shows the standard Flash settings menu. When you installed Quicktime did you not assign it as your default Flash media player?

I just noticed there a list button with more movies at the bottom of the media player. The footage with the whales is quite amazing.
Surely this technology is the way forward? It's like standing within the movie.
