Yes Todd pull yourself out from the debris and let us know you are OK. I'll knock on some wood for good luck.

I just spoke with Todd, and he said that he and his family are fine, they have water, sewer, natural gas, and phone, but no power, and won't have power for several days. They are stocked with gasoline (petrol), water, and food, and restaurants are reopening around them, so they are doing okay.

Damage in their area is varied - they were on the western ("quiet") edge of the storm, but gusts caused significant damage in some areas. Boulevard medians had sections of landscaping that were untouched, then other sections that were demolished - very random.

He wanted me to convey his appreciation for your concern, and to let you know if anyone wants to help out, just head on over to Smustard and buy a script 😆

Woo-Hoo!! We got power a little while ago. 90 hours without power. That will be no big deal compared to a lot of folks.

Thanks for caring and checking on me!

Lot of debris and mess to clean up. Thank goodness a cold front came through Sunday afternoon - Saturday night was tough with no A/C, high humidity, hot weather and major thunder storms. There was lots of flooding on Saturday - post Ike, because there was so much debris (leaves, limbs) clogging storm drains.

I learnt a lesson about house design. Builders around here didn't take any consideration about open-window-living in this area - no possibility of cross-drafts in some bedrooms. Dumb. You don't (I didn't) think of these things before. In the course of 90 hours w/o power, you think of stuff like this.

Anyway, we made it. Lots of people still without water, power or a pot to pee in.

              Todd

But the important question is how did your restored mustang do? Did it survive? (did you already sell it?)

                  Chris

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Mustang did fine. It's still disassembled in the garage. I was kind hoping it would blow away.

                      Glad you're alright, Todd.

Too bad the wind didn't reassemble the mustang. 😄
