*Alias Sketch for AutoCAD Added: January 26, 2010 Graduated: May 11, 2010 The Autodesk Alias Sketch for AutoCAD Technology Preview allowed you to take advantage of Alias and SketchBook technology directly in AutoCAD software by adding fully integrated painting, illustration, and image manipulation capabilities to enhance the AutoCAD design workflow, making AutoCAD a much broader creative tool. The technology preview has ended. Thanks to all who provided feedback in the shaping of this technology. The add-in ships with Alias Sketch.* http://labs.autodesk.com/utilities/alias_sketch_for_autocad/ http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/index?id=14963386&siteID=123112

Your original statement is on the same page. (I have freinds who call themselves Republicans, so I have to make a careful distinction between those who hope the party can return to what it once was and those who are trying to lead it off the deep end.)

@robmoors said: Okay once you know what it's called it's easy to fix. Hi Rob, Glad you found your answer. When I started reading the thread I was thinking "He needs to know that it's called a 'ligature'" and fortunately I kept reading and found out that you had found out. The reason it's in one font and not another is up to the font designers. If a designer takes the time and trouble to design a ligature, it will be there in the font, and if not, not. There are also fonts that have "swash" capitals in addition to normal capitals. The most commonly used ligatures are f-i, f-f, and f-f-i in Times and Times-like fonts. In the f-i and f-f ligature, the "ball" at the top of the 'f' merges with the dot on the 'i' and in the f-f forms the crossbars on the 'f's merge, so the f-f-i has two things going on. That Calibri c-k ligature is unusual and is more "swash" than most ligatures which are about readabily and compactness. In this case, the c-k does not improve readability nor does it take up less space, but it would go well with "swash" capitals. It certainly should not be there automatically in body type. Swash can be pretentious, but there are times when that is what you want. I hope this helps, August

@chris fullmer said: Why not just tell them to come use the forum for questions. Is there really a need to differentiate them from any other beginner who comes and visits? Hi chris, dylan the only thing I am trying to achieve is to keep track of my students, I agree that differentation is not necessary or desirable. And i certainly want them to have the advantage of all the members knowledge here. Csaba has set up a ug for me, I'll see how that goes. I'm still thinking that just starting a thread might be the simplist solution. baz

That's kind of old actually. I remember however when I was almost busted at the Three Sisters Islands when I walked into the river and the cops thought I was going to jump off the Falls. (Who would1ve done such a stupid thing? It was freezing cold and snow and ice everywhere!)

I have never completed any projects. I simply "abandon" them as "good enough" for the deadline (and the client).

@olishea - his name is Bob!! Seriously though - that guy is truly awe inspiring - you should look into his other videos to see some of the stuff he has done - and he is so self depricating in his talks. He may have no arms and legs but he beats the sh1t out of most humans I have met in my life!

Hi folks. If you want to make the cursor larger because you have difficulty seeing it, may I suggest going to "Preferences --> Drawing" and enable "crosshairs". Then, the cursor will be difficult to miss. Just ideas.
