Ah yes, of course. A friend of mine has a 14 month old baby who know one thing of computers; where to switch them off. And she can even stand up and walk already.

Maybe the sky scrapers will sit on elevators. So you can sink it down by one floor. In the cellar, there are people (or elephants?) who push out the lowest floor. Then the building sinks for the next floor... Interesting that most high sky scraper will be built in the new industrialised countries. For us they would not be profitable.

@solo said: No, you will need to do a full install for that. Solo Thanks for the info. However, my question is, will the Window 7 64 Upgrade that comes in the Windows 7 Professional box do a full install from a Window 7 Upgrade install from Vista to Window 7 32. What I am trying to do is install the 32 until I have time to get another video board and extra memory. So I wish to install the upgrade 32 from Vista 32 and than later do a full install from Windows 7 32, which was an upgrade from Vista, to a Windows 7 64. The box comes with two disc, 32 and 64. So I am assuming that I can do a full install from Vista 32 to Window 7 64 using that disc. But will that 64 bit disc do a full install from Window 7 32 b? I know complicated and I may wait unit I have a new video card and memory and only do one upgrade. Again thanks for the info Solo Ken

@kwistenbiebel said: The way I see it, Google Earth is obsolete since G maps Streetview got mainstream (as said above). I hardly ever use Google Earth but I very often use Maps. Why would I want to download an app (GE), if G Maps does a far more photoreal thing out of the box straight in my browser...? The logical evolution would be seeing technology developed that extracts 3D from both street view input combined with the satellite top view....automatically. The proof of concept is already there (ThomThom posted it somewhere). I really can't imagine the whole world being modeled by hand for Google Earth. It feels old fashioned, will never be completed and to be honest, the current low poly GE models very often look crap. Have you seen Place Pages on Maps yet? You might reconsider the usefulness of geo-located 3d models. Check out this as an example: http://maps.google.com/maps/place?cid=14784564406270036321&q=cathedral%2Bdakar

Beautiful landscape photos, but IMO it's getting a little ridiculous how much HDRI dominates landscape photography. There are good arguments for it: that it requires some fakery to attempt to represent the stunningness of the real world in a 2D LDR image (and after all, all photography is "fake"), but I've gone off landscape images which are too obviously heavily tone mapped/Photoshopped HDRI composites. I wonder if it's here to stay or if it'll look dated in a few years? I like the shopping trolley/Aberdeen Harbour one best, the photographer really managed to make an otherwise dubious subject absolutely beautiful. It reminds me (the subject, not the talent!) of one I took many years ago with my second-hand Sigma 35mm SLR. [image: yfvJ_trolleysmall.jpg]

As d12 said, Twilight can use SketchUp's sun. It's just that I did the first test with the sun turned off and a completely white sky for a moody, monochrome look. Twilight has several render presets available. Some of them work similar to Indigo/Maxwell/Fry and are called "unbiased"; others work similar to V-ray/Mental Ray and are called "biased". For the first test I used an unbiased preset, Easy 09. For the following one I used a biased one. I also turned off the light for a change, and enabled the physical sky + sun with some tweaks to their default values. Lastly, I did some post-production in the freeware app Motiva RealCamera, trying to simulate an Agfacolor camera. [image: Usqn_Agfacolor-HDC200plus.jpg] UPDATE: I'm cooking another one with Easy 09, wait for it...
