Put any prog or video on the left SketchUp if it's your favorite 3D prog... Here double sessions of free Krea Real Time Screen for an infinite Ping Pong creative result! A sort of double creative temporal loop! [image: 1757938029734-okay-resized.jpg] Remark the third wheel, normal, it's a concept car! [image: 1757941156216-gif_exo.gif]

After messing around with Maxwell for a couple of months and then discovering VRay I've never looked back. Sure it's still a bit buggy (which software isn't these days? ) and the numerical inputs of the VRay UI are very dry and confusing at first, but the manual explains most of them them pretty clearly and the way the whole plugin is integrated with SU is streets ahead of Maxwell IMO. The results are as good as almost any renderer out there and in a fraction of the time (we're talking 1/100th of Maxwell), and it's possible to render out your SU Scene animations or batch render all your SU scenes overnight- this has saved me sooooo much time when I needed multiple views of a model asap. Yep, I'm a VRay fanboy!

My guess is thta it wont work, as i imagine the drivers alter other bits of the computer that are harder to copy across, for example theres a good chance that some registry values are modified upon installation of the drivers.

Thanks for the reply Ross. The positive intentions sound good, we'll just have to be patient as ever. They usually surprise us with a few great features when new versions do come out. I really hope as many people do, that handling of large models is addressed. Kenny

pshh! ive already seen it! this is kind of redundant, because all the car people would have already heard of it! there are entire magazines all full of car stuff. (i get three per month, im pretty informed) still, i like it. mr bangle's "flame surfacing" desing method has alwas been a love-hate kind of thing, but i always thought it looked cool.

Had a better look at this software and I believe it would be very easy to bundle a library of shapes that one can modify with SU and create ones own creatures in SU. With all our new tools we can even map the UV's perfectly giving more texture options. ...hmmm... would there be a market for such a thing?

Thanks, Mike. I have been having fun exploring this site. May even start a "thread" (if that's the right term). You will remember our conversation regarding the topic. Hope you have a good flight and enjoy touring New York. Steve

if you have too much money left at the end of the month (what, of course, always happens ), I would advice you to buy a gamer mouse. I bought the Logitech MX518 one or thwo years ago. and it is the best mouse I ever bought - very precise, very responsive and comfortable to use for hours! I will probably only discard it, when the era of mouse aided input ends (which hopefully with the technology of iPhone and Microsoft Surface won't be too far away )

I like no. 4. I do tell people "to have an ordinary day". Also, instead of "excuse me" I sometimes say "excuse you".

Cool... Great to see SU used this way... And a very nice site indeed... (just saw it's made using Swish Max... ) Back at the old SU Forum, there was this other guy who also used SU for making virtual sets prior to actually building them... Can't recall his name, but it was pretty impressive and fun to see... And if I remember correct, a lot of the scenes and camera paths in 24 are made in SU prior to real takings...

@kwistenbiebel said: Pietzak!

@unknownuser said: Thanks for the info Lewis. It is short notice for me to enter this at the moment but I will watch out for the next brief being released. I feel much the same way. Unfortunately, I think this is probably the most interesting of the three briefs. At one point in time I had the email of the fellow who started this Line of Site business (an executive in a company that makes roofing components, I seem to recall), and he was pretty clear in our conversations that he was trying to provoke flash-of-genius "napkin sketches" as opposed to deliberated responses.
