I've looked at most of them on the market and think this is the best available http://www.freshcatalog.com/index.php/site/buy However its a Win app only. I am still looking for a Mac app as good. Mike

Let them know what happened. They're pretty nice over there and might be able to get you a little more time.

I don't really know both, but the maximum resolution output from the L3DT Standard Edition is limited to 2048x2048 instead of 513x513 pixels.

Had some problems with Cooliris when browsing various forums. It seems to create too many "hits" when I load a forum, even if Cooliris isn't being used, and the forum locks me out. I had to disable the plugin. Don't know if it's just me, Cooliris interacting with some of the other plugins I have, or Cooliris itself. If I do any serious image searching, I enable it. It's way better than using a standard Google or Yahoo image search.

Hi Alan, I'll take a look at that. I've made some progress with it now using a 30 day trial of the snappily titled "Autorun Pro Enterpise2". It lets you construct a menu like a web page with hyperlinks and open documents, scroll through photo galleries etc. It works well and allows a lot of graphical control. But now I've realised that what this app does is quite simple I've also started an alternative on similar lines to what you suggest. Thanks for the links. Other than CAD stuff, I only have the most rudimentary skills about anything else that can be done on a computer so I think I percieved this all to be quite complicated but as you and others have pointed out it is fairly simple. Thanks again.

@gaieus said: Hehe... Coen "stole" my previous avatar (and even an avatar war started then) so I changed it. So it's Coen up there I just saw that now... You're absolutely right... I thought it was you just because of the avatar... Thanks, Coen - then...

Well, here in the US we wouldn't want someone to find a new band they like without first having to pay through the nose to test their music.

Thank you very much for the heads up, Malaise. These are exciting times for the 3D world, with so many new programs being developed.

Mr S, I suppose a twilight zone is a great way to describe it. I work from home, I have an office just off the family room so I can work and still be part of the general family activities. I have a laptop in the lounge so that I can carry on working and watch movies with the family too. I work with clients from all time zones and very often you will see me online at 3am in the morning (like right now it's after 4am) which is normally because I'm on a call or conference with a client in Aus or India, etc, or I'm working to a deadline. As things get even more bleak in the economy so does my work hours as I need to source work from markets and industries than normally I would refuse which as a result has me forced to learn new apps, and outputs in order to stay a viable resource. I indeed do have the ability to retain info fast, as long as I understand how something works it's stuck in my head, but as far as details like names and dates go, I'm useless at that.

Its made by Quark Express. Its not just a vector editor, there is a whole suite of tools, the image editor is very good and a 3d app, video editor and music software are also on the way. I think they are envisaging cloud based computer aided design. It's not entirely free, eventually some apps will only be available by subscription. http://aviary.com/home Impressive list of apps here http://aviary.com/tools There is a community too that is very active, interesting stuff but mainly graphic designers at the moment. One nice feature is that members can create an online portfolio. http://www.ilovedesign.com/uk/

Works like a charm but it's not that we can name an intuitive prog I believe that only the creator of it knows use it at the perfection But it's a true gem made by an alone guy! A sort of mini Zbrush in fury Just dig in it! Like an adventure game [image: 8Syz_curv.jpg] [image: 81Bz_curvy1.jpg]

anyone gotten much into Picasa here? I saw a couple things on it on the basecamp youtube videos and was pretty impressed. Most of the examples on the website were less than stellar but I went ahead and downloaded the trial and it seemed pretty nifty. I never got very far into it though. -Brodie
