Today it works fine for me... Although I already have the Creative Suite CS5, so I won't down-grade anyway... But nice find... I'm sure many will start using PhotoShop now...

Thanks Tig and Fiona, As I suspected the free stuff is pretty scratchy, if it works at all... but I did find Able2Extract http://www.investintech.com/downloads.htm Does a good job, converts to DWG as well as DXF, and its possible to set units, line width and scale. thanks, that's VERY interesting. Just as I was getting the new X11 version figured out. I had a major D'oh moment setting 2.8 X11 up realizing something I could have been doing for years I won't even say what that is. I'll just say, take a good look at preferences first off. Now this wonderful news!
