Intuitiv "Nurbs" software
-
Hi All
Browsing the web,to find a way to simulate organic form, I've found this:
http://www.cbmodelpro.com/
It's a beta release, possibility to get a key for unlimited use. Very intuitiv UI
after a short discovery, I exported *.obj into SU without any restriction ( may have to be rescaled)
Here a short test :Enjoy

You say Nurbs, I don't believe that it is
It's just "Zbrush like" Subdivision modeler only polygonic
Maybe you must change the title
The more intuitive Nurbs modeler is MOI yes -
Hi Pilou
You're right, but as far as SOLIDWORKS is behind....Let's try it
I've changed a little bit the subjectMALAISE

The quality of the approximation (mesh density) can be changed by the Lo, Med, and Hi buttons.
That can't be nurbs!

i'm not sure if i have a use for this but it's definitely the easiest piece of software i've ever come across for making these types of shapes.. i didn't read the manual and was drawing some crazy looking shapes in a matter of minutes..
so yes, it's intuitive... thanks for sharing..attn: mac users... there's a version for you too

Just played around with it a few minutes and have to say I like it a lot so far. Kind of like an SU version of ZBrush. Good find.

Thanks for reply John, Jeff...
Pilou, I've downloaded MoI, and I'll play with it soon. Would you define what Nurbs are ? I guess I misunderstand the concept.

Good succinct description form wikipedia: Non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS) is a mathematical model commonly used in computer graphics for generating and representing curves and surfaces.
So basically they are a way of using maths to describe shapes and surfaces.

@ Malaise
Yeah, Thanks Remus for playing attention to my question.
I made a bit confusion with working on organic shapes.Pilou,

Thank you very much for the heads up, Malaise.
These are exciting times for the 3D world, with so many new programs being developed.
