Hi Guys I found this image of a door that wish to model and render. Apart from being so sexy it is interesting that it seems to be where Art Nouveau, art Deco and arts an crafts collide. I am not expect it to be easy as I am considering doing it with geometry apart from the ceramic brick. If anybody has any advice please well out.[image: 1738386671589-door.png] Wish me luck

Thank you very much. This is a current project that has several levels of development. The implosion device with this wire configuration was completed last year and a second variation has been finalised, which has the bomb in place/installed in support rings and frame within a warhead, which is part of one half of the final presentation that includes a different device. The two bombs together are meant to show the direct comparison between the two weapons within their respective warheads with shrouds. This also meant the wiring had to be done a second time for it to be presented within the "case" or protective covering while sitting in the warhead, with the wires' socket connected to a control box. Once published, I'll be able to share renders so that these wires will have a bit more visual context or explanation/reason to be modelled.

Well see, that's the part of "not quite how I envisioned it." While Raylectron is good, volumetrics is not an option, wet streets have to be done manually and this model was barely responsive as it is, fog has serious drop-off and can't be adjusted in Raylectron nor can density. No HDRI as the fog would not allow it to show. Also, the green lights were supposed to be lasers, but without volumetrics, it didn't work. As for colors I have no idea why the white robots turned grey. Not the effect I wanted. I'll come back to this one day when I have a more powerful PC. Thanks for the suggestions.

Mike, you respond as someone familiar. Sadly, since the group consisted of friends of the original author, despite sharing the same confrontation with mortality, once she died, members have become so shy, it has no activity. Those who were willing to "almost" share in the group before, don't feel the presence of their lost friend. No logo change can make that difference, it's such a personal battle... even if it's loved ones fighting. Thanks for the input. Much appreciated.

Spot on Liam. And thanks for the compliment... much appreciated. I always intended to return to this for "renders" and never found the time. These were just test images to confirm the working Skatter. But, you are right. I did use this model only once, after this stage with some plants, that ended up with the DOF. But, it was more about the plants than the bugs. https://sketchucation.com/forums/download/file.php?id=163888&mode=view/rokbox.jpg Topic here: https://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=74018

Hi Bryon, Volumetrics, I call God-rays, for me is fog. And if you have fog, you can do this. Thea Render uses two types, a fog setting in environmental control settings as well as object based volumetrics as "cloud". We can set the camera outside this object (which renders as translucence/transparence that can be adjusted) and the sun effects all that is within that object. This works for small rooms where you want the God-rays coming from the windows, stretching to the floor or wherever depending upon where you set your sun. It's worth experimenting with.

Thanks Bryon. He has a wonderful gift for plants and some beautiful plants that work both far and close up.

@majid said: Great to know, I stumbled upon two plugins to fix reversed faces: https://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=44551 and https://extensions.sketchup.com/extension/b8b437aa-0f0c-453e-b7f2-58e8738ac80e/face-director But didn't find the old piece of code. ( I guess by TIG). Nice! Thanks!

Have to totally agree with Solo, these are absolutely cute. Reminds me of the four little beach huts in the game Fortnite... the west side of the island. Good work.
