It is achievable in VfSU however its not achieved as easily with vray for max. In max you just select the physical cam and go to its properties and hit guess shift. In VfSU you need to edit the lens shift values till the image has the vertical lines completely upright just as the human eye perceives physical geometry.

Zumo, you can upload your images under the 'upload attachment' tab underneath the bit where you write your reply. If for whatever reason that doesnt work you can also upload them to an external site, copy the image URL and put it between the [img] tag.

I personally wouldn't tilt the camera up when composing a pretty straightforward shot of a 2-storey bldg. A 2-point persperctive would be nicer IMHO.

Richard The movie won't open for me. What codec did you use to compress the movie?

Steelers, Thanks. Vue has always been a standalone app, the only thing is now it has a .skp importer and a very improved radiosity engine. Yeah there really is not much online as far as SU and Vue goes, however in my websites keywords Sketchup to Vue is my number one refering search and on Pushpullbar I'm listed as the only SU/Vue resource, which is strange IMO as they work so well together. The learning curve is hard to guage as I've been using it a long time, in fact before finding SU I was using Vue with Max models, so i'd say it's about the same as KT/V-ray as far as learning curve goes.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm still toying with what to do next. I think it will be a helicopter of some sort but I don't know what yet. This one is by no means perfect and I know now where I could have improved but it is a good base to work from. I'm playing around with Kerkythea at the moment. Podium is an awesome product, don't get me wrong. It is so simple to use and create good renders from. However, I think by looking at the results some others have had with KT it is worth looking at in more detail. Can't argue with the price either!. Thanks again, Puck

I am in agreement with Dan. The exterior is very nice and IMO the plant/pot size is a good balance for the wall on the left. I look forward to seeing the "less noisy" render.

Hey thats great! I have modelled up some furniture n stuff for work that I can't share right now. I'll have to wait for the project to finish. I wish there is a place for QUALITY SU model sharing. There is just so much crap on the 3D Wharehouse right now.

thanks luis, modele a camera because I am no expert in this type of modeling and needed something easy and simple, I did this for a contest on a forum and as the time it was finished I could shape up to that point, I think it needs something more of detail especially in the lens. saludos desde argentina.

Thanks, the materials are standard Sketchup materials that I converted to grayscale and the lines are just extension lines that are set to 12 and also the background are from the styles that are included in Sketchup.... gianx

While the carpet looks more like fur or something like that the barcelona chair looks a bit too shiny of a leather. Overall nice render just some tweaks. The camera on the table looks a bit out of scale as well. Scott

@linea said: Richard I first looked at this thread last week, i really like your technique, I've been copying the style a bit for an animation at work. Black is the new black. Thanks mate! I posted a video to the gallery here - I was digging through my HD the other week and found this old animation I did which gave me the idea for the style of these posted images. http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=16735&p=132320#p132320

Great, thanks. I'm playing with it right now. A little tricky to get the hang of but it'll definitely improve my textures! -Brodie
