I liked the stark contrast of this vivid eye-sore modern home in a peaceful landscape setting, almost contradictory.

A fast (13 mins) Vue 7 render using standard specular atmosphere, painted ecosystem and rendered to final (medium quality)

Nice picture, but the lower reflections don't make any sense to my eye. Do you have another view that would show what's happening there? πŸ˜•

Real life is just another website, albeit a rather boring one.

          Hello Solo,

Really cool and modern design, really cool rendering!
          Your Vue output is perfect.
The reflections in the lower part don't bother me at all.
It adds a nice touch of glossiness!
I also like the swimming pool way in the back. Sort of thing you'd expect with a pricey house like this! πŸ˜‰
Tiny question: Whats going on in the basement? Is there any program/function in there?

very nice model and render. When i saw it I was quite suprised. The style of the model looks very much like my recent designs. Love the shape and the many ways to go with this shape. Love some feed back on the designs to. As a side-note. This is only my hobby. Never had any design classes. I work fo an insurance company but like to design and render in my spare time. Sketchup is my first design software. But love it. I'm designing for half a year now.

13 minutes? hmm... I need to have a look at Vue again. That's way lower than what I ended up with then I was briefly fooling around with the trial.

Solo, I am loving the vue renderings I keep seeing from you. It has actually pushed me to start looking into it. Now it works as a standalone product correct? Becuase I cant find anything about sketchup on the vue site. And how much of a learning curve would you say it takes for vue? any insight is great, and more images please.

                      Steelers,

                      Thanks.

Vue has always been a standalone app, the only thing is now it has a .skp importer and a very improved radiosity engine.

Yeah there really is not much online as far as SU and Vue goes, however in my websites keywords Sketchup to Vue is my number one refering search and on Pushpullbar I'm listed as the only SU/Vue resource, which is strange IMO as they work so well together.

The learning curve is hard to guage as I've been using it a long time, in fact before finding SU I was using Vue with Max models, so i'd say it's about the same as KT/V-ray as far as learning curve goes.
