vieucaillou - Drawhelix13 is the version I used. Now I can't reproduce the dimensional inaccuracy I mentioned earlier. I started these models in SketchUp7 but I had a lot of trouble with that version so I uninstalled it and went back to SketchUp6. Maybe something was happening there. But I just opened Sketchup and asked drawhelix13 to make me a helix with a pitch of 180" and I get a helix at 180" Confusing to a novice.

idraft, Thanks so much for the links. Some really interesting translucent panel solutions are available. I think I'm inclined to lean toward some sort of fabric shading system and not give up the transparent glass. Below are a few night renders of the atrium house. They are a quite dark but they provide an impression of how the house might appear at night. [image: EYS3_newhousenr3.jpg] [image: iW2U_nhnr2.jpg] [image: IgzM_nhnr1.jpg]

Thanks for comment guys! I'll try to put more detail next time. Adam, the chairs and the table are 3ds models, from here : http://www.archibase.net/ You have to register, and then you can browse for free models. As you can see, I have some missing geometry over the corners of the chairs. I shared the stove as well here: http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=15048&st=0&sk=t&sd=a Ely, thanks for comment, your last cars are amazing, and I enjoyed the tutorial as well! Teo, thanks, always nice to see you around!

I had a previous version with no skirting but it looked to bare (ha). I might try lightening it as you suggested, though, as it doesnt look right at the moment.

nah bro they smaller than the air cleaners, but i guess they are a little big..i've had about people tell me that...so i might make em smaller then..but it is a custom truck so i thought they would be appropriate for that purpose, but thanks glad u like it.

really really nice.... as brodie said, fix up some textures and these would be great... the shingle textures are what's bugging me....the grass and roads kind of fit the image, in my eyes. vegetation is awesome! i really need to try onyx.....and the maxwell proxies...i think i tried it once and couldnt get it to work and never went back..haha... great job

can I say something? I can? Part of modeling I see very well, probably should have increased the number of sides in the circle because the roof is faceted (as said DzineTech) Add anything else on the scene to give it more life, this all that much empty space, maybe pictures or things like that. add some bump to the floor, because it seems like a single piece of wood, I might have to have some separation as boards or something. shadows are very hard, perhaps by increasing the radius of the sun are somewhat more diffuse and more real. but I want to stress that in general terms is a very good picture and I like the style of the space.

@unknownuser said: very good! but is or not vray for sketchup? Thanks, Giuseppe! Yes, I am using Vray but it is not the latest version and I therefore can't use certain .vismat materials due to version incompatibility.

Ramy these really are amazing renders! Would never have thought they were done with Mentalray! My only suggestion and looking at the indoor pool at home here - where you have any light coming into the enclosure one would normally see some caustics at least at the bottom and sides of the pool. These can easily be added to the pool textures to do a great job at faking the effect!
