@kev_n said: and ....WOW.... 1 of 10000 passes for ray tracing lol.... may have to leave that going all night. Usually 80-160 passes is enough. Stop when it's reasonable clear. 10000 passes is a arbitrary number, so that render will stop (someday).

Thanks Gaieus and David for presents! @srx said: Are you sure you used SU for plans? We have used SU only for Master-plan (urban-design) and elevations. Plans haven't been created in SU. They are far too complex. @srx said: Now go back to the SU2Thea plugin! @allen weitzman said: in my humble opinion, your design is superior to the winning design Our idea was to create something that has very close in relation to the structure of the camp. The schematic on the sixth board shows it. We wouldn't propose such a layout somewhere else. The jury has written that the courtyards we have created might be, in their opinion, too small for the volume of people visiting the museum. In our opinion it was necessary to keep the spirit of the place and proper relationship to the height of the surrounding buildings.

hey thanks all to the feedback, and sure the depth and focus can be changed from the depth map i used , and agreed on the outer ring, i hadnt noticed that, must be from looking at it for so long. The wire is all piped using pipe along path , i had used a thicker pipe but seemed to give an unrealistic result, but shall work on another image, i enjoy this sort of stuff. The textures had all been created in PS and based from eye watching the darts on the tv. thanks for the feedback once more, shall update when the next images are ready kev

This particular design is based on a job I did for a client some years back that was looking for a small holiday home. The site was in the middle of nowhere but had sea views from the 1st floor. This is the reason for the gallery floor. [image: U7sw_D-EXCH.jpg]

Hi Mitcorb, I think the same that it would be great to deal with him into SCF. You can write to him as I have done one time through YOUTUBE messages. He had replied me (something I can tell because it was not very private): @unknownuser said: Dear Simon Bonnet, I can not speak good english. I speak sorbish and german. I happy to see your very good video. I hope that many people can see this video from you, also in YouTube. SketchUp is a beautiful program. I've since October 2005 with SketchUp played, just for fun. Before one or two years, I had these ideas. They are also in Google 3D Warehouse in Collection Kito. (sorbish) it was relative to my: SketchUp: KitoRaupp_Pottery Sorry Rich to "Bump" a little your thread I stop here. +simon

To bring the colors back into the scene, try turning on all the lights in the apartment. Even set up a light behind the camera bouncing off a white (blank) wall behind the camera.

Hi, For a start my recommendation would be to take a look at the SketchUp-Artists page. There you can find plenty of descriptions on different techniques and styles. http://www.sketchupartists.org/ For example have a closer look on how Oliver Shea does it: http://www.sketchupartists.org/tutorials/the-quasi-clay-style-by-oliver-shea/ For sure you need to learn on how to do a line overlay: http://supodiumforum.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=1578151 If you want soft lights and shadows (like in the second picture on the floor) you need to fake them in Photoshop or you have to employ a rendering software... happy if this helps alex
