Maybe put up your changes mate! BTW a plan is always a help to determine the workability of your solution! And not one of those ghastly 3D ones, urrrr!
Nah, once I posted I released it to its owner Daniel, it's time now to move on to the next design exercise.

Really impressive work and amazing attention to details. I guess you visited the place to get the real feeling of that architecture. If not, you really got it right out of the box!
thanks a lot omiKron for your kind comment! My only visit to the place took place 15 years ago, but I still remember the lighting feeling...
the making-of-Oculus was recently published at SketchUpArtists if you guys would like to take a look here:

Looks good ! Billboards are a little pain because they have built in lighting and shadows i tried to match that lighting in my image. I think it'd help you to have the sun behind the camera on the left.
Man, If there is any film studio looking for the development of an older english village YOU ARE DA MAN!
I actually like the repeat in the texture, it looks like the stone was sourced from different quarries or available sources which could well be the case.
rangerrick , cool model and render. I can't critique it, no clue what a technics turntable looks like! I had a panasonic eons ago. glad to see another Twightlight user posting their work.
Yes that one looks cool. I was thinking on getting the Triumph Scrambler myself... But that does look like the Thruxton and I like it. Though the offroad possibilities on the Scrambler and the different driving position are what pleases me the most... I like the dirt tires...
But we ARE sidetracking please forget about this detour and feel free to keep on topic.
Thank you All for your comments
and Cotty,
thank you for that link - yes, that's what I was looking for
I have to get used to this many buttons and the order of pressing them - it works!!

Looks pretty neat and daring. I wish how a structural engineer would look at this concept if it would advance to construction detail. Maybe like: ....then
Looks doable to me
I didn't say it's impossible. But such structures involves huge costs and the structural engineer might go mad
I remember spending a lot of time trying to make Star Wars ships when I was about 14, and sketchup was still just a hobby... I distinctly remember trying my hand at a light freighter from the extended universe. I was parsecs away from these, and I doubt I could make something this good even now, but who knows, maybe you'll inspire me to have another go

I don't know what for yet, but it's a good model to have for no reason!
That's exactly the reason why I've modeled it
I've added a download link to the first post...
