Fred, That first group is growing on me now....so I think you may be right about the texture not being the problem. Plus - I would love to have a little 1' high solid model of the "dinosaur rib cage" sculpture on my desktop! I would promise to turn it slightly every day so I would be able to peer into it from a different persective. Bytor

Simply stunning work, Tom! Your presentation certainly gives a "warm fuzzy" to me. I would think the style would really help sell the concept. Thanks again for sharing, John S.

Awesome work there fbartels, you wouldn't expect you could use Sketchup to create works of art, it just shows you the countless applications SU has. Have you ever printed or published any of your work related to these?

@majid said: frederik wrote : I assume that you've used the SU2KT when you originally exported this scene, Majid, right..?? If so, you should try to export it as OBJ and import it to KT, and you'll notice that the vase will be smoother... Reason for this being that SU2KT doesn't export vertex welding and smoothing surfaces will appear more angular. majid: thanx , good advise . i'll try the way Also with .obj export you can do loop subdivision in KT! Helps a lot with low poly SU models. I just wish that vertex welding issue would be fixed soon in SU2KT.

Tom that is wonderful as usual. Spence, I would love to see those slides. Will PM you my email. When I saw the first set, the green ones, my first thought was: exhaust pipes for a sweet ride.

No No No there is no doubt that Skp have lots of dedicated Ruby script developers, but i mean to say some thing extra from the google side as we all know from the begining Skp was a trendsetter like the pushpull tool.( even Au...CAD now have it ) just like that a totaly new way of organic modelling ( me be i am expecting much ) but why not ?

Hi everybody. Thanks for using my model for rendering tests. [image: qkiG_SIDWIP-014.jpg] This was the one I've done with Kerkythea. If you'd like to see more rendered models you can visit or my site, or directly my web album at Picasa All models are available in the Warehouse, except the Grendizer model, cause is still in progress.

Thank you guys for your nice comments. Actually my son doesn't pay too much attention to this picture, he is already kind of blasé..! Kim, I'll post this one on the KT forum, just to give details on the lights (9 IES + 2 panels/emitters).

Very nice model! I greatly enjoy your posts. More, please! (As for the style - I agree with Kwisten. This kind of stuff proves Tom Wolfe wrong. Though maybe not in a way he'd like. )
