For the records: if a plugin is compatible with SU2014, possibly it's not compatible with any previous release due to heavy change to Ruby, which passed from 1.8 to 2.0, with many "breaking changes" which can prevent old script from working. Same happens when passing from SU2016 to SU 2017. This is the sequence of updates which may impact plugins compatibility: 17/12/2008: Armedia Plugin 1.0 22/sep/2009: Sketchup 7.1 released 1/sep/2010: Sketchup 8.0 released (8.0.3117 on Windows, 8.0.3161 on Mac); Updated Ruby Version to 1.8.6 on PC; lLast "x.y" version. Next versions get year-based numbering. Armedia plugin: from 1.0 to 2.2 28/apr/2011: Armedia plugin 2.1 released 15/dec/2011: Armedia plugin 2.2 released Introduced support for zipped extensions (.rbz) in SU8.1 21/may/2013:** Sketchup 2013 **released, passing from Google to Trimble Armedia plugin: from 1.0 to 2.2 . Last update of Android player. 24/mar/2014: Armedia plugin 2.3 released (this thread) 27/feb/2014: **Sketchup 2014 **released (14.0.4900 on Windows, 14.0.4899 on Mac); Ruby update to 2.0; plugins broken. Added encription capability for scripts (.rbs). Heavy changes to plugin default folder (*) ARMedia plugin version: 2.3 3/nov/2015: **Sketchup 2015 **released (15.0.9350 on Windows 64-bit, 15.0.9351 on Windows 32-bit, 15.0.9349 on Mac 64-bit); added 64 bit version ARMedia plugin version: 2.3 (only for SU 32 bit?) SU2017 M0 = 17.0.18899 on Windows 64-bit, 17.0.18898 on Mac 64-bit: Ruby update to 2.2; plugins broken; Added encryption capability 2.0 for scripts (.rbe) Armedia plugin: not compatible? Ancient versions of Sketchup can be found here: http://win98.altervista.org/sketchup/ (*) Plugins on Windows have now been moved outside the SU Installation folder. On Vista, Win 7, 8: C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp2014\SketchUp\Plugins On Win XP: C:\Documents and Settings<username>\Application Data\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins On Windows, we also load plugins from a user-independent support directory. On Win Vista, 7, 8: C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins On Win XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins

I think I have an old license but that is not the issue. I don't want to install it if I am not going to use it just to be able to use that function.

Take a look at what "Medeek" (developer) is doing. You can also take a look at "House Builder" (plugin / extension) for the wall framing. "Profile Builder 2" (plugin / extension) is also a good choice for the wall framing, but you have to know what it is that you're making to get the best out of it.

Hello, In case you did not figure it out yet. I got the same error and it was fixed when I installed "Fredo6". Meaning you need to install 2 plugins for FredoScale to work. Hope that helps!

@l i am said: Rich, how did you predict where the triangulation's were needed? You are simply trying to neutralize ngons by making them quads or triangles. You need to do this as efficiently as you can. Box's example went the SUbD route which prioritizes quads. Artisan deals with either. Ngons cannot subdivide with regularity but tris/quads can. So you approach needs to factor this in.

@rich o brien said: Edge colouring is a good idea. I use X-ray mode when marking edges. It makes seeing markings more apparent. I hit "K" for back edges. It's faster that xray mode and allows for visual clarity as you don't see everyting but lines. Sometimes I combine it with my own shortcut for hidden edge visibility "CTRL+SHIFT+H" @unknownuser said: Currently we are adding various file export options to WrapR to make direct import into other apps easier. What about import into WrapR and then from there to Sketchup? Maybe it's possible and useful.

Will there be a fix soon for for SketchUp 2017 version soon? This plugin is awesome, but it is unfortunate that it is still not working with 2017 yet. Thanks.

@cadmunkey said: @ntxdave said: A little off topic, but SimLab Composer also uses the Unreal engine. It is a pretty powerful tool as well (IMO) Does this software allow you to easily generate movie clips like Lumion? Good smooth camera paths etc? From what I have seen....yes, You can also generate interactive 3D PDF, WebGL, and iPad files and with of them can contain animations and simulations. Looks pretty powerful to me. They also have VR capabilities as well.

To open your user Plugins folder [i.e. the folder where extensions and plugins get installed by default], you can use this snippet in the SketchUp > Window > Ruby Console: UI.openURL("file:///#{Sketchup.find_support_file('Plugins')}") You can of course 'navigate to the equivalent folder - although on a PC it's hidden by default: C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2017\SketchUp\Plugins For other SketchUp versions change the version suffix - e.g. 2016... Then find the .RB 'loader' file - which creates the extension, and then [re]move it. Also find the subfolder with the exact matching name, and [re]move that. Note that some very simple [older] Plugins might not have the matching subfolder... Alternatively... The way that the SketchUp ExtensionStoreÂł 'Uninstaller' works is that it adds an X to the loader .RB file-type - i.e .RBX This stops it loading, and being listed in the Extensions and Plugins Managers, however, it can be 'Uninstalled' using the toolset - whereby its loader is reverted to .RBB ...

You need to install plugins / extensions the correct way and stop copying / pasting it into a SketchUp sub-directory. The correct way to install is to use the Extension Manager, go to Window > Extension Manager : Install Extension and navigate to where you had saved the RBZ file. You'll probably need to fix your current install as well. An uninstall should do, make sure all the relevant files / directories have been deleted as well. Then start fresh using the correct method. When installing SketchUp, make sure to run/install "as administrator".
