Well if that's the case, then shouldn't the warning http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=28782#CadFather on using CADFather's plugins be removed or have an updated warning message? There's some good plugins there and I'm sure I'm not the only one that's been put off loading them.

RE: [Plugin] FullScreen v5.1.3 (25 April 2024)
Thank again - that's a very time-saving plugin, and it doesn't seem to mess up my normal toolbar/menu settings.

RE: [Plugin] FullScreen v5.1.3 (25 April 2024)
Hi Anton,
Seconding the profiles idea: I'd use a stripped-to-nothing profile for online live-model presentations, and a normal modelling profile.

RE: [Plugin] [Re]Scene v1.0.7
Thanks for the plugin Rafael, it does what it says on the tin and will save me a lot of work.
I don't care about the sounds though, too much like a game, a bit too 'windowesque' for my tastes.

RE: Copy camera settings from one scene to another?
Thanks Juan,
That does more or less exactly what I want - I set up a scene with four different options in it and ReScene copied camera settings to all scenes; there's good control over what gets copied and it can be limited just to scenes, and scenes that you don't want ReScened you just deselect them in SU's animation tickbox. It will save a lot of work.
The only thing is it's a Cadfather plugin and there are warnings on the plugins page about their plugins causing errors in SU - so I'll just install it when I need it.

Copy camera settings from one scene to another?
Is there a way to copy all of a scenes' camera settings from one scene to another? Sometimes I want to change an existing view to another scene (and sometimes I accidentally update duplicated scenes). The only way to get it exact seems to be to go into Camera>Advanced - and copy out each line to the scene I want to change - has this been done via a Rubie? (I've searched and found nothing)

RE: 2D export problem
I haven't used fog before in SU, but does the fog or fog-plane come all the way to the front of the image, i.e. the viewing plane - maybe the graphic export if just exporting the fog!
-
Too Many Plugins?
What do you mean by you cannot find them?
The rubies should be in your plugin folder. And AFAIK Explode2Groups.rb for instance only appears if you have a group selected; these plugins would all appear to be mainly contextual, i.e. if you're not doing the action that initiates or enables them you won't see them.
I'm running quite a basic system, and have about 60 plugins with no issues (and many of the plugins are the more complex types for topography and such).

It's a fallacy that glyphosate breaks down in soils (it may break down in some soil types - but not all soils). If glyphosate is applied where the soil is high in phosphate the glyphosate and its breakdown products can remain in that soil for some time see404 - Sivua ei löytynyt :: ccfoy
Olemme pahoillamme, mutta etsimääsi sivua ei löytynyt. Ole hyvä ja tarkista oletko kirjoittanut URL-osoitteen oikein.

Also put phosphate glyphosate soil into google scholar - you'll find plenty of concern over this issue.
Certainly many publishers are outside the university/academic spectrum but then Monsanto sponsors many universities and labs so you can't expect researchers to bite the hand that feeds.

RE: [Plugin]Throw_to.rb(Mar 31,2013.)
Thanks Tak2hata, this saves so much time - no more turning things on their side (and other silliness to align things in x and y)

RE: Solid non-transparent objects have gone transparent
Thanks TIG, I've found nothing way over the horizon as it were (or way above or below), and the jaggy problem only occurs with parallel projection (and only really shows with 3D/iso type views), with perspective views it's all fine. Its probably time for a reinstall.

Solid non-transparent objects have gone transparent
Almost everything in my drawing had become transparent (see attachment) with internal edges showing through. Does anyone have a clue why this happens?

RE: Removing unused commands and shortening toolbars
Thanks TIG for the heads up on how to do that - so far I've only needed that small cmd set, and yes I've since realised it's Didiers' plugin not ThomThoms'.
-
RE: Removing unused commands and shortening toolbars
Thanks TIG, that worked. Knowing almost nothing about ruby or coding in general I found I had to hash out all the lines concerning each icon e.g. (showing a modified and an unmodified commant set)
*#Delete layer
cmd1129 = UI::Command.new(("Delete layer")) { Sketchup.active_model.select_tool(DeleteClickedObjectLayer.new) }
cmd1129.small_icon = "Layer Manager/lm_del_lay_16.png"
cmd1129.large_icon = "Layer Manager/lm_del_lay_24.png"
cmd1129.tooltip = "Delete layer"
layertools_tb.add_item(cmd1129)
#Lock layer
cmd1229 = UI::Command.new(("Lock layer")) { Sketchup.active_model.select_tool(SetClickedObjectLayer.new("locked")) }
cmd1229.small_icon = "Layer Manager/lm_set_locked_16.png"
cmd1229.large_icon = "Layer Manager/lm_set_locked_24.png"
cmd1229.tooltip = "Lock layer"
layertools_tb.add_item(cmd1229)*and now I have a nice short toolbar.

RE: Removing unused commands and shortening toolbars
Thanks for that TIG, I'll go and poke around in the .rb before I bother the writer - I was wrong it was Didier (with help from you apparently, according to the help file).

Removing unused commands and shortening toolbars
Hi, Is there a way to shorten a toolbar, for instance I use ThomThom's LayerTools often - it's a great tool TT, thanks, although I only ever use five commands and so have removed the remainders associated button images:
The rest of the toolbar is 'wasted' screen space.Is their a way of reducing the toolbar length to equal the width of just the buttons in the folder so it looks like this?

RE: Version Control of Models
I once set up TortoiseSVN to handle versioning on vectorworks files, but the concept of branching and what Tortoise was actually doing was too confusing to feel I could rely on it.
(branching is the process where a versioning tool only saves the latest changes to a file, so when you open the file it assembles the current diplayed model from all the different versions).
Subversion is not (as far as I know) specifically designed to handle CAD files (.skp, .dwg or whatever) but it does seem to work with them. If going this way I would test how it works for about a year first.

RE: SketchUp to DWG - Hierarchy of layer punctuation marks
Hi, not a complete answer and I haven't worked with a current version of Autocad for some but...
AFAIK only $ _ and - are valid characters other than A-Z, a-z and 0-9. the program wouldn't normally allow a layer name with a comma for instance.
How many layers has your drawing got? If it's more than 200 (yikes) Autocad will may have issues, try this:
enter MAXSORT in command box, if number is <200, change it to equal your number of layers. Be aware that high MAXSORT numbers can slow a .dwg
cheers, Nigel

RE: Select by fence (polygon) and select inverse?
Thanks all for your help, and thanks Mitch for your plugin, does exactly what I need.
And it looks like I'll be buying vertextools soonest thomthom, that's a cool tool.
cheers, nigel

Select by fence (polygon) and select inverse?
Hi
In autocad one can select objects by drawing a polygon fence around them (the command is something like sel>f). Would it be possible to write a plugin to do this in SU?
Also would in be possible to do an inverse select, ie select everything that is not in the current selection, and deselect the current selection?
