@Gus-R I can relate to that. The last render is my favorite so far. The composition and lighting hit the spot.

RE: I’ve Been “Boxed”
@ntxdave Don’t feel dumb. At least you’re trying. That’s more than a lot of people. A shame you don’t live down the street. You could drop over and see in real time how I struggle with this stuff.

RE: I’ve Been “Boxed”
@ntxdave Thank you sir. I’d suggest starting with simple shapes and practice the various techniques. In particular copy/array around a circle. As you get comfortable slowly add to the complexity.

RE: A Bench and a Stool
Very sharp. Assuming this is some of the new functions in 2025.

RE: I’ve Been “Boxed”
@Mike-Amos Assuming the minimal parts sounds confusing? Basically only four components in each basket. The top ring, the twisted vertical bar and a two piece base.

RE: I’ve Been “Boxed”
Dug into another old practice model. Minimal number of parts. Additional skills garnered from Box’s gif’s.

RE: something just for fun
Very cool stuff. Like Mike said it made my head spin.

RE: Beach House
@Gus-R Don’t get freaked out. Sometimes we drift a little off course.
To get back on course I’m curious how you came up with the “sand” in the render ? All poking around aside they’re still nice renders. -
RE: SubD examples and models
Not very spectacular but SubD can make even everyday objects a lot easier to model. Organic shaped mid century modern drawer pull. Pretty common back in the day. Designed to be partially inset into the drawer front. Made attempts to model one years back. No luck. Knocked one out with SubD the other night. No problem.

RE: Adjusting Textures on a Diamond shaped Surface
@Robert Glad you got it sorted.

RE: Garden from kitchen
@Mike-Amos No worries. Learning a new rendering software can be pretty challenging. You’re making steady progress.

RE: Garden from kitchen
@Mike-Amos I like where you’re going with this. A few possible suggestions. Maybe add something on the island top. Perhaps a fruit bowl with some oranges and such or some coffee cups. The chairs being in such straight alignment are making me crazy. Pull one out or a bit turned perhaps. I’m not familiar at all with the lighting options in Rayscaper. I’d be inclined to soften the lighting over the stove and countertop. The light above is pretty harsh. Also you can ignore all I’ve said and it won’t hurt my feelings one bit. You go too do you.

RE: Adjusting Textures on a Diamond shaped Surface
@Robert Taking a w.a.g. without actually seeing the model. This usually is the result from painting the texture on a group/component without opening it for editing.

RE: Mid Mod Chest
Quick google search. Louis Van Teffelen was a Dutch designer. Looks like he was very prominent back in the day. Oh well I can’t know everyone.
