RE: Photo Textures with google images????
remember that you can choose a editing program to adjust an image right off a texture I have MS-Paint because I usually just crop or size
But photoshop or any program can be used.Then right click choose texture/edit image
Then edit and save in application.

RE: Photo Textures with google images????
If you want to use it as a texture in your model it must be a texture not a "image in model"
I us the import as texture and keep a file of all of them.
Dragging it in it is image so it is not in the materials window unless you explode the image.

RE: Selection Problem
@unknownuser said:
It sounds like you have a situation where there is a nested component.
Check out the outliner window click on the parts and see the interaction with the model and the outliner. expand the components and watch the model.

RE: Sort layers
Numbers and name that keep the order and the ability to add related entity to be added by just adding a .##

RE: Sort layers
I number layer 01 to 100 material 001 t0 00100 assemblies 0001 to 000100 sub-assemblies etc etc
Then select item and look in the entity info to see the layer or in the outliner to get deeper in nested components/groups.
