Wish I was sill student.
By the way, when I try to conect I get this I get this@unknownuser said:

You have asked Firefox to connect

. Do you know why? -
RE: [REQ]Automatic replace components randomly
+1 Good idea.

Its like CF "Extrapolate colors", but for components - "Extrapolate components" -
RE: [plugin] Divide By Material

Thank you Sam. Very kind of you.
I agree you should update the first post. -
RE: My house project
Nice details. Very detailed

Have you modeled the whole house this way? -
RE: [plugin] Divide By Material

As far as groups and components go, you can sub-divide their faces if you enter edit mode before running the plugin.
This means that I have to enter every group - component in model manual?
Is it a problem to make it work for all nested geometry in model? This would be even more useful
-
RE: [plugin] Divide By Material
First select geometry (not groups) with different materials applied.
Run plugin and chose the material which you want to subdivide and the maximum size of subdivision...and
It works for me...
but only for geometry not in groups or components .
Guess the next step is to make it work for all nested geometry

RE: [plugin] Divide By Material

Thank you Sam. I am glad for being part of this modest contribution to SC forum to which I own so much. -

Without independence, without the freedom for new ideas to be tried, to fail, and to ultimately succeed, the world will not move ahead
Of course not, but I don't see how is it related to direct democracy concept, except that IT IS the opportunity for new ideas to be liberated.
To give all people right to express them. Corruption stops new ideas. Direct democracy is the solution.
When profit is the only goal the new ideas are wasted on bad things for people. When it is not, all new ideas are well used.
Open source software is good example of new ideas - products from the community.
Ruby plugin writers from this forum are also. IMO this is what the world should look like.
Not everybody are equal. People are evaluated for they contribution to the community, not for making profit. Like TIG, TT, Didier...
This FORUM is an example of true democracy. -

Displacement from SU to rendering aplication tutorial
I hope this is helpful for somebody.
Sam just wrote this plugin
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=37598&start=15and now the whole process for preparing your model for rendering with displacement worked for me this way:
1 Box in SU
2 Use DividebyMaterial Plugin (above link) Sam wrote (Thanks again
to divide every face with specified material.
3 Soft complanar edges
4 Select all edges. Deselect soft edges (TT selection tools Plugin)
5 Bevel selected edges (Roundcorner plugin)
6 Rendered in Thea (with geometry smoothed)

RE: Subdividing faces for displacement plugin
Thank you Sam!
I love this forum.
The plugin should have its own topic. It's very useful.

RE: Subdividing faces for displacement plugin
Who could thought of this? Interesting method. It riches the half of the job.
Still is not automatic for more than one differently oriented faces. -
RE: Loading plugins only when needed
Well it would be very good plugin if it was for all.
