I thought the video was clear. For laying out use the tape tool and the protractor.

If you are having trouble downloading instant road contact the developer. Here is one tutorial. I got many results searching "road on terrain". http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18%26amp;t=19522

I actually used Tig's Extrude tools, but Curviloft would certainly do it.

From what I can see, redrawing a couple of lost edges would do it (as the rest is still there). Best suggestion would be to always group floor-plans and extruded wall (and on top of these, additional floors/ceilings and walls of second floor walls) grouped separately. Certainly you would end up with a couple of repeated, Z-fighting faces but only at spots that cannot be seen otherwise.

Hi Semih, Use the Stamp tool from the Sandbox toolset for this job. See some references here: http://sketchup.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95061 http://sketchup.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=115432

Okay, in this case it's what I also mentioned. I think you should have given your floor a thickness by first PushPulling the whole starting face to 20 cm, THEN offsetting (or drawing) the wall thickness and only then PushPulling the walls. You can still give the floor some thickness by using the PushPull tool combined with the Ctrl key.Press Ctrl (and keep pressed) and PushPull your floor to a thickness. You may need to correctly re-orient the resulting faces.

Then I guess that's inches > Millimetres... Sometimes I have the same problem - when I don't even know what the units of the original file were. Then this can be nothing else than trial and error; importing the stuff a couple of times until you are okay.

Hi Semih, The only paper it could fit in 1:100 is an A1 size which is 594 x 840 mm. You will need to find a plotter to be able to print it. I also exported it to a pdf file but cannot attach since it's more than 15 Mb (high quality). Component_12.layout

The model will also be much more manageable and the face/edge count will be halved if you substitute 2D face-me components for the trees, flowers and shrubs. (from about 600000 to less than 300000 edges, for instance) There is also the other problem with the 3D plants you are using. To save disk space, they are divided into many subcomponents that themselves have subcomponents etc (like leaf, branch, etc). This added complexity is also slowing SU down. Anssi
