all i actually wanted to say was that i think it should be a site where only moderators can post this, and we as public can comment on it, kind of like su oscars lol.
you guys should make a tab and maybe call it wall of fame, and only stuff like this is kept here (only a suggestion) wink wink
thank you very much, i really apreciate your help and knowledge.
Keep well
thank you, will give that a shot..
if so i come a day on this where it needs the origin, what do one do then? Then i have both options as a solution. Thank you very much..
Hi guys.
More and more these days i get autocad files from my clients and when I import that into sketchup, and pan...it jumps around like a disco ball. Did anyone experience this before, its driving me insane. If anyone has a solotion, please help.
i found a way in max, and can bring it back, just wondered if there were something usefull in su like a plugin that works...to cut out the hopping around in apps.
Hey guys, thanx for the help, much apreciated.
would have been awesome if we had something easier to work with...
less hassle.. lol
thanks but i tried this..does not seem to work..i converted my image to ppm, and then after its been asking a couple of settings....it does nothing..
what is the procedure of workflow on this. Do i need to supply subdivide to my face, or any special preparations? please help
Hi guys. i am looking for a plugin that i can use a simple black and white image to position above a plane...and like the dropper in sandbox, i want it to use the black lines on that to cut into the plane...
For instance..say i have a black and white image of a brick wall...and do not want to use a brick or use a displacement map, but actual geometry...by posistioning it in front or on top...and drop the texture to create geometry of ths simple black lines. Please, its really important to me if some of the experts can help me.
Great work Dolphus, I really like your works. Like your commitment to detail and realism. Hi 5
awesome work dude, love your works. Hi 5
I love the whole process. Do you build these sets for games,or game development,cg painting over models, or is this just for the kick of things. Anyways, great work, keep it up, would love to see bigger scenes you have developed made from su.
Hi guys, i use photobucket and you can then view anyone's images without being logged in. So even if the system kicks you out, you can still view the post.
Thanks, i fixed the link .Yea my whole image storage folder crashed and had to move them to another account and re post all my images, to in places i ended up posting less, esp the candy 3 model because there are 250 renders of that and things like this might happen. Thanks for pointing this, really apreciate it.
firstly i build ribs, as one normally do in plane construction, rounded the edges. Then i used a plugin called skin. Choose 2 faces and joined them. Once completed you get a basic frame wich one can work with, and then you just tweak it as you go on.
i am currently too busy at work an at evenings to think of starting a new candy soon, but one day ill do one again.
this is the download link for candy 1 2 and 3
in Candy 3 there is a folder called visopts, just open that and youll find it in there

hi there.
thanks, to be honest, i modelled these things in a dual core 3.4 ghz machine with 2 gig ram. No fancy equipment. Just lots of patience. Be sure to look into the other candy models if you havent seen them yet. I now got a powerful i7 machine, and hope to do some great things with this in the future.
