[REQ]texture curver
Hi there
Is there a way that one can create a rubie that can do this. I have a kurb, and a texture, soldier course of bricks.
So to tile this on that curve, i have to put a break in those curved curb area drop the texture on every segment and rotate it to work with the curve of the kurb.So this is my question, cant someone make a rubie so you pick a curve of the kurb, pick the texture, and dump it, and it will adjust that texture to sit perpendicular to that specified curve. -

He silver shadow,
thanks for the tut about the model. But i'm very curious how you exactly made the texture for this one. Could you make a small tut about this???Hi there
How i made that hull texture. I exported the hull in 3ds format, imported it into cinema 4d. Created a UV map of the mesh, and saved the texture as a photoshop file. Opened it in photoshop, and start painting. As i paint and save, it updates in Cinema 4d. Once i was happy, i saved the photoshop file as a jpg. Exported the cinema 4d file back to 3ds mode and imported it into sketchup. Becasue i wanted a higher resolution texture, and to keep my sketchup file not to fall apart, i saved a low resolution of the texture, with a smaller pixel size say like 1025x1025 and replaced that on the model. When i render the final shot, i just went and in the Vray material section, add the original higher resolution texture to the diffuse tab and pressed render. There are different ways to approach this to uv map ect, but in that time, i thought that was not to too hard to do that and gave it a shot. -

Hi,I am new to this Community.I saw ur work and found it extremely interesting, and inspiring.I never imagined you could do get this high quality 3d in Sketchup+Vray. If you dont mind, could you please recommend some websites or tutorials to learn sketchup and vray for a beginner like me,mainly architecture..
Many Thanks
Rosehi rose
I learned sketchup and vray mostly thru trial and error. This website has good tutorials to get you going on sketchup. On the Vray side, probably the best way is to look for vray in general, does not need to be su, it could be for rhino or max, the way its working applies the same to all other applications. Sorry, i know its not much help. -

RE: [Plugin] Sculpt Tools v 1.0...
can i make a suggestion...if its possible
can you maybe look into if one press the right mouse button and drag it, that the brush size gets resized. I am not sure if this is possible, but it would be awesome if you can. Great job on what you have achieved in this. Without all these plugins, where would we ever be. Great job. -
RE: Some new Renders..
thanx, sorry for the missing images. (Stupid photo bucket errors)
The thing i sometimes do and usually work well is say for the sand or grass, render your model with a flat color, like sandish for sand or greenish for grass. Then in photoshop drop a image over that grass or sand, and say it should be overlay or any of those that suit your needs. and use an eraser to control areas. -

Nvidia Tesla C1060
this card adds your processing power with a wopping 240 cores, giving you a render farm in you machine. The thing is, like everyone is wondering...buy it, spend a couple of mega bucks on it, but will your render application pick it up or not. Really wonderingAnyone heard about this, please let me know.
