@scrubbrush said: ....I found a tut that said all you have to do is use the move tool on the midpoint of an arc and you can change the bulge. all my arcs are still intact but they are full of endpoints and not main mid point. any attempt to use the move tool moves the entire arc. any one know what's going on? If your arc has an even number of segments, then, as Dave suggested, use the 'Move' tool (nothing selected previously though) to move that endpoint in the middle of the arc. If your arc has an odd number of segments, than you should look for the midpoint right in the middle of the arc, to perform the 'Move' operation to change the bulge. If your arc is grouped, then enter its editing context (double click on it) to be able to change the bulge.

I think Al's thread is much better, but what you really need is a scene with fixed textures and lighting restrictions (not easy). Maybe the best thing would be a scene based on an image? I have a possible example - let me check the poly count and creative rights.

Preaching to the converted I fell out with Autodicks arrogance a long time ago. To be fair SU/Layout need to put some time in on the 2D side of things, but I think that's down to layout still being on a learning curve. Keeping my fingers crossed for good things in LO4.

@tig said: Also be warned that SketchyPhysics [one of a few 'rogue-scripts' around] will probably mess with some base-classes relating to groups etc ill-advisedly, thereby breaking the correct operation of some others' tools, that of course expect that the API is working as it should ! I recommend you only have SketchyPhysics installed in Plugins when you need it, this will allow other tools to run correctly... warning taken. I have it removed for now. not ready for it yet anyways.

From what i understand about SU is that it uses the graphics card to a lot of the work.
