It was indeed a small error which I kept repeating, moving the texture before export and not group applying it seems to work!

Hey Guys,

I just started playing around with Lumion and am loving it so far, though the custom material options seem a little on the light side.
However the preset materials will get you a long way sometimes you need a custom material. Well I tried working with a material and was trying to add a normal map inside Lumion (yes in the second texture slot). However Lumion misplaced it and I ended up with a very strange bump that didn't match the diffuse. In simple terms, it didn't work.. Im thinking something with UAV coordinates not sure though. And if it is, how do I get it to work.

Exported the model to DAE from sketchup with the diffuse map on it. Even tried mapping the normal inside Vray and then exported it. Still didn't take. What am I doing wrong?

Can anyone help me out here? It would be greatly appreciated.

Dunno if this is the correct forum for this, but anyway I've always been frustrated with those crappy .psd templates for CD/DVD cases or label you name it. And seeing I am currently working on some art in relation to this I decided to create my own templates. All properly named and executed with guides and vector shapes. If you got any proper ones, please share, Do name the product for what the template is for properly!!!!

This does come in handy when needed but most certainly not when you are designing DVD box cover art Titles.

Now you know. As to the fix:

No the bulgarian was on purpose to try and fix this problem, it fixes it but it affects different things I found out, when I put it to a normal setting (dutch english US whatever) it reverts back to the same problem. I did found out that this is called ligature, no idea what that entails though and how to fix it.

Okay this just happened to me and I have NO idea why, I'm completely baffled as to how this came to be.
Anyway I'm designing a DVD cover in Photoshop all is good I start typing with my Calibri font as usual, and as soon as I hit the c and k they merge together they actually become one character like some sort of auto-merge. Same happens with the f and l but they stay separate though, so I went through my settings. Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary and the same error cannot be replicated in Word or in any other program, I re-downloaded the font still the same problem. I attached an image with what happens. I did manage to fix it by setting some kind of language setting to Bulgarian or something really odd.

Anyway if someone can explain to me how this is happening all of a sudden and how I can correct this I would really appreciate it!
ps The Internets didn't spit out an answer as to the why for me. Also this only happens with the Calibri font as far as I have checked.

Thank all you guys for your support but unfortunately we didnt make it. Our avarage was just too low, with an avarage of 4.126; we needed at least an avarage of 4.248 that would be roughly 45 more 5 star votes.

So sadly no go. But we will get there. This was just the first contest we participated in.

Let me give you the actual stats (yes excel calculated backwords difficult formula the whole lot NERD I know and proud of it)
After qualification we got 88 votes. Based on a either 1 star or 5 star vote we got:

46 1 star votes (almost all of them in the 6 hours following qualification.)
42 5 star votes (almost all after additional vote requests.)

So if by the 31st the counter for 5 stars goes to 142 or higher (probably the case if your votes come through because we got a few other lines out) you will be my personal hero .

EDIT:
Our calculations predict that we need to end with an avarage of 4.5 at least if we want to qualify.
We are at 4.233 right now with 288 votes

Well guys overnight we got 60 additional votes. 50 of them were 1 star votes...
We dropped out of the top 100 and are really trying to get back in, which is extremely difficult.

So any and all help would be appreciated, if you can reach a large audience help a fellow sketchupper out and link to the mix with a 5 star suggestion.
