I didn't know that from you solo, nice. Ibiza is awesome Pacha these days is like the holy grail for DJ's like us. MOS Yeah I know MOS I believe they still produce some records. But your vote is even more appreciated now
!Earthmover yeah we started out loungy but pumped it up to our usual rhythm of house. To show that you can mix multiple styles is always good. Thanks for the comment and vote.

Let's Mix
Hey Guys,
I'm in need of your help. Me and a buddy of mine are currently participating in an international DJ competition. The Next Generation DJ competition to be exact. Though competition and we made a late entry but it's an awesome mix.
What I wanted to ask you is if you could take a moment to vote for us. We need at least 200 votes before the 31st and also a high average if we want to proceed to the next round. Then the competition turns more into an actual contest based on skill instead of who knows the most nice people. Skill we got enough but nice people I tought of you guys! There aren't many communities out there who are there to help each other like you do. So with that in mind I'm asking you to vote for us (preferably 5 stars of course
haha). And if you would be willing to listen to the mix en then vote that would be even better. It's a house mix.Voting is simple you just click the number of stars you want to give, and enter your email address (the site is spam free, I checked
). That's it. NO registration nothing the whole thing takes 5 seconds. So I'm proud to present to you Beats in a bowl by houseflakes.

THANKS! -
RE: Buddha
Jup I consider 3D modelling organic surfaces like making a clay model. Though I did use a poser model for the face as reference.
Faces are difficult. Also not entirely happy with the hands and feet. But thats just between jou and me
-
RE: Buddha
Basically its done with a very crappy 3D reference model wich I cut up on all sides to get a basic shape (kinda like clay sculpting) after that I took pictures of a Buddha top front side back etc etc and I started modelling just as you would a car. After that a lot of FFD transformation and welding of points to clean up.
Modelled 100% in sketchup
Model is up on FormFonts now, there if you follow the geometry (especially on the chest area) you can see its also a lot of follow me curves superimposed on the basic "clay" model.Lineart:

RE: The SCF Guides to Post Processing [TUTORIAL]
Well I did a very poor attempt at that quite a while ago:
http://blaze2x.deviantart.com/art/Collab-Dual-Monitor-Wallpaper-36910236
After that did another attempt on that worked out better:
http://blaze2x.deviantart.com/art/The-Arrival-Of-The-Rain-Season-29956834Since then I learned quite a few things:
First of remember the rule of three: only three things in a grid of 2 by 3 may stand out. In your picture the entire thing is filled with ship, so its too large, second get a nice starfield from deviantart get a tutorial or download a resource (I recommend the tut but thats me.).
http://browse.deviantart.com/resources/tutorials/?order=9&q=starfieldAfter that you just gotta have a light source, planets suns anything will do, just remember you are working with light, so paint that light, if a planet blocks a sun and your spaceship is in front of that, that part of your spaceship will be darker. if its directly into the sun its brighter.
In space many things can be light sources, light bouncing of planets, a plasma discharge, sun, nebula.
http://browse.deviantart.com/resources/tutorials/?order=9&q=sun
http://browse.deviantart.com/resources/tutorials/?order=9&q=nebula
http://browse.deviantart.com/resources/tutorials/?order=9&q=planet
http://blaze2x.deviantart.com/art/A-Deviants-Guide-To-Space-33152540Spaceart is more difficult than one would imagine, my suggestion browse through these tutorials, several of them, try one or two out, yes you will fail. But you will also learn, get a feel of what you are trying to create. The beauty of spaceart is that it covers ALL of the photoshop techniques, as indepth and far as you want to go:
Inspiration material can be found here (click through I recommend.)

Let me know how it works out

RE: Tipping
Netherlands:
Shuttle Bus: none, not neccesairy it's all handeled with bus tickets
Taxi: 1 or 2 euro depends on how long the drive is and if the guy was nice
Porter: .50 euro perhaps
Hotel: None, the maids and such when you stay for a week or so tip the maid 5 euro's or so in advance they will take better care of your room
Pizza/Fast Food: when delivered round it off with 1 euro or so
Restaurant: depends if the food and service sucked none, otherwise if you sit there the entire evening a euro or 3, 4 pp. Make sure you tip the guy who is serving you and not the one bringing your bill.
Bar/clubs: if it's night nothing because you are ordering at the bar there not coming to you. If they are serving at your table or so, tip the waiter at the beginning of the evening and you are planning to stay long tip something like 5 euro's or so and tell the waiter that you want him or her the entire evening. You will get your drinks much faster that way because he or she will be watching your table. And afterwards make it another 5 euro. Though only do this is youre with a group.
If you are sitting outside at table or so and it's busy same story as above. If you are alone .5 euro to 1 euro is enough.
Though test your waiter by talking to him and see if he is nice that should also determine howmuch and if he get's anything.Hairdresser/Barber: none
Manicure: none
Masseuse: none
Facial: none
Other SPA: NONEAnd remember all tips are optional if the service was slow sloppy or something like that pay nothing and just leave.

RE: What Sports Did/Do you play?
Pff eeuh lemme think:
In the old days:
Swimming (got a shitload of diploma's everything from basic 101 to life guard training and snorkeling)
Judo Brown Belt
Jujitsu Green BeltOe and I used to play squash every now and then.
These days:
My big passion Kite Boarding. Once you hit that 5 meter high air for the first time the adrenaline rush will be so intense that you will think you are God himself. I also do Wall climbing on a regular basis.
Ow wait how could I forget:
I have stunt skated on inline skates for almost 4 years, half pipe backflip frontflip rock and roll, bar bail, grinding, 720's you name it.
