Thanks mate, to add the shadows I dragged the PDF from LayOut into Indesign!

RE: Layout Lists
I find it SO MUCH easier to just build lists in LayOut using an array of Text Boxes!

RE: Landscaping masks
Richard should probably tune in here! There are a ton of DWG tree files of this type all over the internet. Download > drag into SU > compile > drag SU file to LayOut page > vector > explode > ungroup > you may need to run the join tool around > set outline and fill > save as scrapbook.
Be mindful you can have some really heavy geome'tree
in Layout as a result!
The beauty is that you have both, a nice set of trees that match for use in both SU and LO.

RE: 1960s house designs
Wow what a great find! Thanks Bryan! I could have done with this a little while back when developing this beach house for Perth.

Interesting Bryan what material is that on the shroud ?
The shroud is either glass, plastic or acrylic and is speckled throughout the material itself for semi privacy. The interior surface also has small bits of felt that are the same color and size as the speckles that are randomly glued to the surface to act as sound absorption in combination with the acoustic tiles on the wall side.
That's a clever approach! I would have a little concern of people picking at them through when on calls!

RE: Layout scale change
@dave r said:
Another thing you might consider is to just make the larger drawings from the start. Export to PDF and print on the smaller paper. That would save you the effort of resizing all your viewports and moving stuff around. I do this with LO2017, too.
As always expected Dave is on the Money here, (sorry about the metric reference) - I'll do an A1 drawing and mark it with Scale: 1:100 @ A1 / 1:200 @ A3 or 1:50 @ A1 / 1:100 @ A3. Then however the plans are printed the scale is relevant to the page size. Not sure if can be applied to freaky US paper sizes and scales. BTW, I'm so sorry you guys have to deal with this stuff, America will never be "great" until they get with the program!

Very fine as always!
Have you try the Affinity serial programs who seems have a very agressive price against Adobe ones?
Thanks weirdo French mate! I haven't checked out affinity! I will!!!
Though as always, we have to equate time to learn something new against the hours we save in already knowing something!
Hop life is treating you well old mate! x Rich!

These are awesome, richard. I am in love with that first landscape plan.
Cheers mate! I particularly like the method to convey the site's slope. Its just the contours chopped up and joined to create an object. Then given all the same fill and then transparency dropped by 5% for each object.

Hello Richard, nothing I can say that has not already been said above. Clients often fail to realise the amount of work goes into these type of presentations. Beautiful
John
Luckily in this case mate the client has been so involved with the whole design and documentation he is rather struck by the work that has gone into it!
And luckily for all of US here, the tools at our disposal are well up to the task of producing great stuff!!!
