      hi andybot

that I have already tried in my picture.

I have used a sphere light and also tried with the light intensity.

somewhere the worm's inside. did you hire a pattern file or material?

      thank you for your reply.

but it is possible to pull the noise shader in the length?
in VRAYforC4D it is possible to change the relative size! πŸ˜•

    • Old wood?

      hello together

can someone help me, how do I create such a material in vrayforsketchup?
on the internet I can not find seamless old wood texture.

I tried it with a wooden texture and in the bump with the noise and wood shader to get the cracks.

if I have to sculpt the cracks I get infinite polygons. πŸ˜•

please help me, thank you very much!

    • RE: Archive Room

      Thanks Bryan.

      @ xonpt
I like the workflow in sketchup and the materialsystem better.

I find the settings in cinema with all the tags somewhat complicated.
I use cinema for large models, its handle highpoly models much easier.

but since vrayforsketchup 2.0 supports proxys there are also an alternative.

and the distributet rendering works. in VRAYforC4D 1.8 it still has too many bugs.
Moreover, the drspawner installation is a lot easier with vrayforsketchup.

      hello community

I made my first project for a customer with vrayforsketchup 2.0 .......... really cool and really fast ........... normally I work with thearender or VRAYforC4D but the new version 2.0 is very impressive.

      original image: 4961x3425px
      Render time: 1h37min.

      Thanks for your Feedbacks

    • RE: VRay Problem - undulating reflections

dkendig says it correctly. it's the image format.
it is probably in connection with your light.
I could see no light source in the kitchen cabinets. where does that light?
used a square with a Emitter material as light source and a ies light.

I think your patch in the stored image has to do with the light.
in connection with the reflection of the materials.

you Need try ...... but put the light sources as noted.
and try for the high-gloss surface a standart plastic material.

I had a thearender issue with a similar problem. and there were the light sources the Problem.

    • RE: VRay Problem - undulating reflections

      Try this:

IR Map: Min rate -6, Max rate -1, HSph. Subdivs 80

Light Cache: Subdivs 80 or 90

DMC Sampler: Amount 0.85, Noise threshold 0.008

these are the most important parameters when something is not good you can achieve much in these settings.

      try a little.

sometimes helps if you the Subdiv in materials raise to 22 or 32.

    • Light patches

      hello together

can someone tell me why I'm such a
patches of light at windows have?

and how do I eliminate this?
I think that was ever asked. I've tried a lot with the settings:

      ÎR:
      min. -4
      max. -3

      hsph subd. 80
      samples 30

      LC:
      Subdivs: 1500

      DMC:
      Amount 0.85
      Noise threshold 0.008

i use Su2013 (pro) and vray 1.6 beta

Many many Thanks to all for helptest.jpg
