FYI -- I've found the scale in my some of my viewports unexpectedly reverted back to "current scale" despite having set them up differently.

RE: HIDDEN OBJECTS
I tried the context menu re-ordering with no success. Now I am trying the layer stack re-order in the layer palette and it works. Very peculiar feature I must say. Thank you.

HIDDEN OBJECTS
Why would identical objects on different layers be hidden behind the model as illustrated below? Layers have identical characteristics.

RE: Maintaining constant width in an offset
ok - so i re-launched sketchup today and tried curviloft along spline and like magic the toolbar came back. but when i tried selecting edges with the loft along path tool to check out the offset option mentioned above, the progress bar returned. maybe i need to find info on exactly how to use the loft along path tool. but the bigger issue for me is needing to click two faces and instantly create an offset with equal width as i build ductwork systems from measurements i take from 2d cad-created duct layouts. no time to build a path between faces. thank you for your time gents.

RE: Maintaining constant width in an offset
correctomundo! toolbar is mia and static progress bar has taken its place when i click the mask-looking button that triggers fredo's lofting tool. should i reinstall the fredo collection?

RE: Maintaining constant width in an offset
my goal is to quickly create the offset between two faces without going thru the motions of building a path between them - that's why i use loft along spline vs. loft along path. however, while further testing the aforementioned fredo tools after reading the replies, the typical control panel has been replaced by a progress bar that remains at 80%. factory reset for default parameters has no effect. please advise.

Maintaining constant width in an offset
i use fredo's plugin to create duct offsets but the width does not remain constant. am i doing something wrong? if not, does anyone know of a plugin that can perform this function?

LayOut 2014 - dragging off the edge
Maybe in the future, we can drag an object off the edge of the workspace and have the screen pan along.

LayOut 2014 Satisfaction
Very happy with speed and feature improvements over ver 8.

File/Update Document Command
Does anyone know what this does? I was looking for a shortcut to update document reference without unlocking my viewport layer. I found this in the shortcut list under preferences, but it does not do what I was hoping. I would like to know its purpose is, and how to solve the main problem.

RE: PIPE-ALONG-PATH SNAFU
P.A.P. works if I tip the path on even the slightest angle - .001 degrees. Go figure.

PIPE-ALONG-PATH SNAFU
Here is a simple path that Pipe-Along-Path ver 2.0 refuses to extrude, yet follow-me tool works. Not a big deal because this, again, is a rare occurrence.

How to search old posts
I know for a fact that a dashed line plugin was discussed by myself and a moderator, or another guest, recently. it was a sub-topic to the main topic at that began the thread. but when I enter key words from that discussion into the search utility, I come up blank. are old posts automatically deleted or only available to paid subscribers?

Notepad++ is a respectable product and if installed from their site it should not have other hidden baddies... http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.5.4.html
I'll be reissuing PipeAlongPath shortly [edited entirely in Notepad++ !]
I will be adding some optimistation tools...Good Day
Are you still working on the PAP upgrade, or shall I stick with version 2.0?
Thanks! -
RE: Pipe-along-path
FYI - I don't think its the graphics card since it occurs in two different machines. And as far as the warning of impending doom - I trained myself to save before I initiate any sophisticated plugin command. All users should do it by instinct.

RE: Pipe-along-path
Good work!! I love the fact that ver 1.9 retains the settings from the previous session!!
And I like the way I can install it directly through the sketchup extensions menu.
But I'm not crazy about the repeated warning that must be acknowledged with a key press.
Just stash that in the read me. And the skin produced is not smooth unless I open the group for editing and click the pipe.
Every click and every key press matters in the world of fast-track sketching.
