Yes it is Ecuadorian. But I hope the images mean more than the words
Btw this is a little mat study, after Solo feedback about the yumminess of the statue

It is about me being too lazy to model accurately the whole room
Actually, Oli, I'm kind of looking for a feeling. Tranquility? Warmth? both?
Well: something!
Hi all!
This is almost finished, but not a wip for I don't have so much time to spend on it..
The scene is quite simple, so no need to add boring info.
I'd be glad to answer if you're interested though.
Rendered with Indigo, as usual.
Enjoy!
Solo, these are fantastic, really.
I LOVE the firts video, with the trasitions between Sketchy screen and render, I think this is really convincing. Vray for Max really have an edge compared to others engines. It is quite difficult, more than others, but I can easily spot the qulity once you get to know how to use it
Congratulations. Details are really amazing. They do the render.
Hi Dylan! The floor tiles you show in the first render are amazing: how did you do that?
..Perfectly Frederik. I've noticed that too!
Maybe the leds' surfaces (they're tiny circles to simplify calculations) are too small. I've done some tests turning on diffraction and they are much more visible. I definitely prefer the diffraction on, but it's damn heavy RAM-wise..
Lily! I really love your interiors!
Most of all the white one with the ramps on the left. One can feel it's a wip but there's always something artistic in white images: light plays a great part there. Good work, really.
Hi guys!
I suggest you change the price under "Fryrender": at the moment it's 795β¬, not 395β¬.
This could be misleading.
@ Nomeradona:
Thank you man. I always admire your skills in the images you post.
@ Michalis:
Thank you very much!
@ scottpara:
Damn, you got me! I saw the shift of the stone texture too late
But the wall is not floating at all.. Gonna try to make the joint more visible..
@ Whaat:
Thank you for the feedback Dale! An injection of confidence!
@ Dale:
Thanks man: more to come!
@ fymoro:
Thank you very much. The design is very simple, the power here is the unbiased method.
@ solo:
..perhaps I exaggerated a little with the diffuse glow effect
The original render was much more lit! BTW, you're right. Gonna fix that!
This is a little project I'm carrying on in my (little) spare time, so expect times for improvements to be biblical. The scene is not too complicated itself: the overall feeling is achieved essentially by playing with the colour of the lights.
This is rendered with Indigo (commercial version), 24hours ongoing. The original resolution is 1200x1200 pixels, and there are 5 light layers: the spots, the blue light from the pools, the neon tube on the down-left corner, the exit signal and the leds over the vases on the right.
Would be cool if I could do my first light animation video!!!
Enjoy!
I do agree with Richard: the lighting in the first image is somehow flat.
The second image is instead very well-lit, in my opinion, and gives the subject your usual warm overall feeling. Good work!
This video is very cool Pete!!!!
I always like some light animation: it really boosts up the architecture of the spaces!
Could you share the technique you used to ceate your light animation? I'D LIKE TO LEARN..
Hi guys!
Sorry to bother
I often encounter a very annoying problem: I download some really cute 3ds files, textures included, but it seems like I'm not able to re-texture them correctly inside SU.
The textures are mapped on EACH face that makes up a whatsoever geometry (ie. the tons of triangles which make up a leaf) and so they're somehow fragmented all over the geometry if I substitute the texture to the proper plain colour SU detects.
Is there any way to restore the previous mapping?
thank you very much!
Calvin, you're amazing. You've done an excellent work.
Great modeling, great composition, great materials, great lighting. Nothing more to say.
Tell us, all of your models come from the warehouse?
Do you spend lots of time adjusting faces and geometries?
Thank you very much for the curtains!
It seems like archibase is now limited...
Sorry guys: I can't find the rb to triangulate the CPoints..
Could you please head me to?
...btw GREAT RB! I can't wait to test it!
Thank you Chris.
This is simply amazing. You're really turning Sketchy into a professional tool.
The version Google releases should be called "Google almost-Pro"...
GREAT WORK!
Fredo! Thank you so much for this unbelieveable plugin!
One step closer to 3dsMax
Another little tryout for a model I just downloaded from the warehouse, and just tweaked a little to adjust some minor details.
As always SketchUp Pro 6, Indigo and SkIndigo (thank you Onosendai and Whaat), ver.1.1.16 beta.
About three hours of cooking, sunlight only, no multilight.
Little post-process for bloom and level adjustments.
C&c always welcome!
Yes it does (and it works really fine, to tell the truth), but sometimes I think it's useful to have control of the thing during the postrpro phase, when maybe we want a detail to stand out and the rest of the scene to fade away a little. Instead of re-launching the render, I think one should be aware that there is this additional postpro technique.
