Michel,
Si tu as toujours des soucis avec ton modèle 3DS, tu peux me l'envoyer par mail, je verrais si je peux te faire la conversion. PM moi si besoin.
Bon courage.

Salut,
Damn...so much time spend on SU and I completely forgot this one !! Thanks

It places a piece of screen-text in the top left corner of the screen.
It lists the last 5 Tools used and their short-cut keys [if any]
e.g. Select 'Space' , Line 'L' , Move 'M'[You can alter the length of the list by changing the '5' in Line#52 below]
The most recent Tool is the last in the list.
Plugins etc get listed as 'Plugin...'
If you erase the screen-text it reappears when you next use another Tool.
It is 'off' at the startup - you can toggle it on/off with the Plugins menu item 'On Screen Rolling Reel Toggle'...Donations:

Thanks a lot for this plugin Rich ! I have a little question about the video you post, at some times in the videos, we can see the three axes appears on the mouse position, how do you make that happen ? Is that a script or something else ? I'm interested by this one.
Regards.

Out of curiosity, what are you modeling today, and how 'heavy' would your model have to be before you'd be satisfied with the level of detail?
Hi John, and thanks to you and google team for all the job done to improve SU with each release. I just wanted to put my word in this discussion as I'm often pushing SU to its limits...Have you ever tried to model a solar farm on SU ? Believe me it turns you to in a very very very patient man...
For example one of my last work was about : 9 265 148 edges / 3 689 820 faces. I'am heavily using layers and 'proxies' to simplify my work, win time, and being able to produce such models, but I often need to put all the real stuff in the viewport (real components instead of proxies, and all layers on) and at this time...well, I got plenty of time to surf on sketchucation and other places waiting SU to respond...
So, some of us really need better performance for high poly model...@last guys and Google made such a great piece of software that now, not only architects, but many many other people are using it for their job...and even if it SU was made for architectural and conceptual drawing, today we're doing so much more with it...So whatever you can say, we'll always ask you for better performance !! Don't get me wrong, for working in SU since the 4th version, I can testify that progress has been done and I sincerely thanks you for that, but the more you'll give to us, the more we'll ask for
Maybe most of people do not work with such models and do not need the precision that give us those High poly models, but I just want to be sure that you guys do not ignore that the performance we're claiming for is really important for us...not just a geek or obsessive wish !!
Ps: Hope, my english is enough "performant" for my message being understandable
Long life to SU !

So am I. I take too long to process, so I quit after 10 hours...Sorry.
OK, Thanks ThomThom, Hope that the google team is aware of that.
Cheers.
Hi all,
I just want to talk about something that disturb me everyday in my sketchup works and maybe someone could give me an info about it.
Sketchup makes automatic smoothing of complex surfaces at somes times during my work, especially when I'm copying thoses surfaces or moving them. SU does it right after my actions. Fortunately, I can undo this automatic smoothing by Edit>Undo...but sometimes I don't see when SU does this automatic smoothing and It can be very annoying for SU outputs as It changes the look of thoses complex surfaces. (See images below).
Anyone aware of that ? Is there a way to disable this ? Or maybe it's a bug...don't know.
Cheers.

Humm, some other experiments may indicate that nested components could be the problem. I'll take a look at it more closely and give feedback soon.
Cheers, and thanks for your help !!
After a few more tests, It appears that the drop fails when the origin of axes in the component is higher (on Z) than the lowest part of the component. If I put the origin of axes at the lowest part of the mesh, everything goes fine.
Could it be the fact that the intersecting method take in acount the mesh and not the origin of axes in the component ? Could it be modified ?
@Thomthom : I could send you the file, but I think i found the issue. I'll temporarily change the origin of axes for this time.
Cheers.
Hi all,
I'm often using all the drop plugins available for sketchup, including the raytracer plugin of ThomThom. But whatever the plugin, I still have problems with some components that do not drop, or that goes down just a little without droping. I have also a lot of issues when components to drop are intersecting themselves...
So the idea is : Would it be possible do define a target for drop ? Something like Select the components to drop, Launch the plugin and select the target.
Thanks in advance for all your ideas.
Cheers.
Panga.
Thanks a lot for this plugin !
