    • Correctly mapping a curved surface

      Hi,

I'm trying to map correctly a building section that is curved and two angles inclined vertically and a sliced top to another angle - as seen in the cad screenshots - without success. I've tried SketchUV, UV Toolkit and Roadkill but with no result.

Does anyone have an idea on how to correctly achieve this?

The main point is that the panels need to have the same width on the top section of the curved corner and it's thin on the lower side as the curved corner gets smaller - top edge of glazing -

    • RE: WINDOW

Agreed, the renderings look really amazing. I've followed your site and I'm still impressed. But, a small tiny observation I have. When you're attempting to render close-ups, try to get the most detail, without too many visible polygons. You're trying to reach photography, not bad, but a pure realistic and crispy doesn't have too many irregularities.

      Keep it going!

    • RE: Reflection without texture

Reversed faces give glitches inside renderings. Especially on gloss/semi-gloss surfaces. Reverse from blue to normal then try again.

Looks pretty neat and daring. I wish how a structural engineer would look at this concept if it would advance to construction detail. πŸ˜† Maybe like: 🀣 😍 πŸ‘Š ....then πŸŽ‰

      Looks doable to me πŸ˜‰

I didn't say it's impossible. But such structures involves huge costs and the structural engineer might go mad πŸ˜†

Really impressive work and amazing attention to details. I guess you visited the place to get the real feeling of that architecture. If not, you really got it right out of the box!

    • RE: Need help with reflective tinted architectural glass

Play with the reflection filter color and refraction color to get the proper result. From what I know, the refraction color gives this kind of effect. I use it pretty often and it gives good results.

It has something that reminds me of the "Oblivion" movie drone. Maybe those "eyelids".

Uhm... I had a sudden jawdrop on the 2nd chair you're showing. What store are you using to buy patience, 'cause I can't find one?!

      Amazing work!

Oh, and BTW, I want one for my terrace. No, make it two πŸ˜„

    • RE: Any suggestions to improve this render.

First of all, desaturate the very green vegetation which catches too much the eye, much more than the building itself. Then add some street accessories, like light poles, grunge paving textures. You also can add some interior apparent lights to give a visual impact.
